Ryabkov specifically referenced US approval for Ukraine to conduct strikes deep into Russian territory with American weapons and an increase in arms to Ukraine since Biden's electoral defeat.
Ryabkov stated that the outgoing US administration is effectively compromising Trump's promise to seek a diplomatic resolution to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. He highlighted recent attacks involving US- and UK-supplied missiles on Russian territory, noting a deadly incident in which five people were killed. President Putin has warned that Russia will retaliate against such attacks and may use military actions against countries that allow their arms to be used against Russian facilities.
