The White House defended Thursday Joe Biden's old claim that his son Hunter Biden did not make money from China and did not do anything "Unethical" with his business dealings overseas.
During the third presidential debate in October 2020, Biden stated emphatically that "Nothing was unethical" about his son's foreign business deals.
The moderator of the third debate, NBC's Kristen Welker, questioned White House communications directer Kate Bedingfield about Biden's statements during the White House press briefing on Thursday.
Earlier this week, The Washington Post confirmed several reports that a Chinese energy conglomerate paid $4.8 million to entities controlled by Hunter Biden and his uncle.
The FBI has reportedly made significant progress on the investigation into Hunter Biden's business dealings, despite repeated assertions from Biden and his staff during the campaign that his son did nothing wrong.
"I don't have anything additional to add from this podium," Bedingfield repeated after another reporter questioned her about Hunter Biden.

International Monetary Fund Warns Russian Sanctions Will Undermine U.S. Dollar Global Dominance as Trade Currency
The International Monetary Fund's Deputy Managing Director says the sanctions against Russia are likely to undermine the US dollar's global dominance as a trade currency.

Some Wisconsin Election Managers Ignoring Wisconsin Supreme Court Ruling On Absentee Ballots
There are different rules for returning absentee ballots in some Wisconsin communities.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court in February reinstated an order from a Waukesha County judge that banned ballot drop boxes and stated that voters can only return their own ballot to the polling place or elections office.
The League of Wisconsin Municipalities said in a letter to local election managers that ruling isn't binding for everyone.
"Clerks who refuse to accept absentee ballots delivered by third parties on behalf of disabled electors may face claims they effectively prevented those voters from voting and face litigation under the federal Voting Rights Act and Americans with Disabilities Act, or both."
Milwaukee Election Commission Executive Director Claire Woodall-Vogg told a Milwaukee TV station that she doesn't really ask questions of voters who return extra ballots.
Woodall-Vogg suggested there would be fewer questions about who is returning ballots if Wisconsin election managers could use ballot drop boxes.
Wisconsin's Supreme Court is set to decide the question of ballot drop boxes, and likely the rules for absentee ballot returns, after they hear arguments in the case on April 13.

A new global survey shows that people don't blame climate policies for rising energy costs and strongly support moves to end the use of fossil fuels.
Only 13% of those questioned blamed climate policies for rising energy prices, with most naming volatility in oil and gas markets and current geopolitical tensions as the primary causes.
Policies to tackle climate change were most commonly blamed in India where 24% of people thought they were the cause of energy price rises, followed by a fifth of people in Germany and 19% in Poland.
"Unfortunately, we are once again seeing claims that volatility in gas and electricity markets is the result of the clean energy transition," International Energy Agency Executive Director Dr Fatih Birol wrote in a recent blog.
In reality, said Dr Birol, well-managed clean energy transitions can help reduce energy market volatility and its impacts on businesses and consumers.
The report also warned against postponing climate policies as energy prices rise, saying that the cost of failing to deliver on the energy transition might be higher than the cost of the energy transition itself.
