D.C. Swamp Critter Franken Returns $41K in Campaign Contributions Amid Investigation

The full story of this next D.C. scandal might not reach the attention of the national media so we are highlighting it.
Thornton Law Firm have been top donors to the Franken campaign committee and they are under investigation by the FEC and the Boston U.S. Attorney’s office.
Franken returned the money as federal regulators are investigating the firm for linking employee bonuses to campaign contributions.
Democrats have returned one million dollars though not all Democrats have followed suit. Sen. Jack Reed in Rhode Island didn’t. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention so-called Republican Lindsey Graham didn’t return contributions the firm made to him.

Beltway crowd wants us focused on molehills instead of the mountainous problems they've created

This country has very big problems, and none of them – at least not the serious ones – were created by Donald Trump.
Take your pick. The debt, the unfunded entitlement obligations, the messed up health care system, the crime, the cultural disintegration, the tax code . . . the political class gave us these problems over the course of many decades. Whether by neglect or active foolishness, they have imperiled our fiscal stability, our economic vibrancy and even the safety of ordinary people. They’ve also made it harder for us to protect ourselves against external threats.
These problems are mountains. Mountains can be conquered, but it takes someone who is not only willing to climb the mountain but has the strength and the courage to see the challenge through when it gets difficult. Whatever Donald Trump’s faults, he ran for president because he understood the nature of these problems, and he was willing to climb the mountains.

Leaking From the Top

On Monday, the Washington Post dropped a bombshell, reporting that Donald Trump had shared highly classified “codeword” intelligence—provided by an ally on the condition that it not be more widely disseminated—with Russian officials during their meeting last week.  While administration officials initially issued fierce denials, national security advisor H.R. McMaster, who had himself blasted the story as “false” in a carefully-worded statement, effectively confirmed the key elements of the report at a press briefing Tuesday morning. While McMaster repeatedly insisted that Trump’s decision to share information had been “wholly appropriate,” his remarks (perhaps inadvertently) raised several additional grounds for concern.
First, let’s dispense with the obvious: Classification authority in the United States flows from the president, and so a president is legally entitled to declassify or disclose information as he sees fit, for any reason or no reason at all.  This is a case where that infamous Nixonism—”When the president does it, that means it is not illegal”—actually applies.  Nobody, as far as I can tell, is seriously disputing that.  It’s also true that presidents often choose, for strategic or diplomatic reasons, to share particular pieces of intelligence with foreign governments.  Yet this does not appear to have been a “routine” instance of such sharing, as McMaster sought to characterize it—not by a longshot.

Net Neutrality Nixed: Why John Oliver Is Wrong

Democrats and progressives are concerned that the internet is about to descend into a corporate hellscape since the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is moving to repeal Net Neutrality regulations, which prohibit internet service providers (ISPs) from blocking particular sites or throttling traffic from specific services. We tackle the issue in the latest episode of Mostly Weekly. The idea that Net Neutrality and Title II regulations are a vital barricade protecting the internet is an interesting position to arrive at given that a free-and-open internet managed to exist without these edicts for decades. Net Neutrality rules are still on the books, but the FCC made a procedural vote on Thursday to begin the prospect of peeling off Obama-era internet regulations like an old Band-Aid.
The main progressive arguments in favor of Net Neutrality are really arguments guarding against hypotheticals: that ISPs could otherwise block and censor content (they never have) or that they'll run their operations like shakedowns, requiring content providers to pay up or slow their traffic to molasses. The main documented instance of an ISP favoring one content provider over others wasn't sinister collusion. Metro PCS offered unlimited YouTube in a budget data plan but not unlimited Hulu and Netflix, because YouTube had a compression system that could be adapted to the carrier's low-bandwidth network. In a different context, critics might have applauded Metro PCS, since bought by T-Mobile, for bringing more options to lower-income customers.

Harvard study examines media coverage of Trump — and the results will blow you away

It doesn’t take a team of experts at Harvard University to reveal what you already know: Most of the nation’s largest and most influential news outlets do not support President Donald Trump. But just how negative is the media coverage? That’s the question a new study by Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy attempts to answer, and the results are truly remarkable.
The study analyzed print news reports about Trump during his first 100 days in office appearing in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post. It also examined the newscasts produced by CBS, CNN, Fox News, NBC, the Financial Times, BBC and Germany’s ARD.
According to Harvard professor Thomas Patterson, “Trump’s coverage during his first 100 days set a new standard for negativity. Of news reports with a clear tone, negative reports outpaced positive ones by 80 percent to 20 percent. Trump’s coverage was unsparing. In no week did the coverage drop below 70 percent negative and it reached 90 percent negative at its peak.”

From Prague to the Potomac: Trump’s Czech Mate

One glance at the map and it is easy to see the bullseye of Europe is Prague, as if the castle nation sits amidst a sea of blue NATO chess pieces: a great place for Vladimir Putin to plant seeds of distrust amongst allies arrayed against his myriad advances. Recently a strategic visit took place between our nations but without the bombast of current Washington politics. The result was that U.S.-Czech bilateral relations showed a welcome return to normal this month when the Czech Defense Minister visited Washington.
Defense Minister Martin Stropnicky came to the United States to attend a conference in Norfolk hosted by NATO’s Allied Command Transformation. He also held bilateral talks with Defense Secretary Mattis, and set aside a day to visit Nebraska, as part of ongoing discussions of a NATO initiative that ties together European partners with state National Guard units. This was a diplomatic nod by the Minister to the long history of Czech immigration to Nebraska.
Stropnicky’s visit presented a stark contrast to the increasing tilt by some Czech political figures toward Vladimir Putin’s Russia that we have seen from Prague over the past couple of years. The most recent example is the months-long circus surrounding claims by the Czech head of state, President Milos Zeman, that President Trump had invited him for a state visit — claims that the White House steadfastly ignored, contra Zeman’s protests. However, this came from the man who stated “I’m not drunk, it’s just a virus” at a crown jewels ceremony and likely experiences unrequited love outside Moscow’s arms.

The Obama Cult

Do you remember president Obama's eight scandal-free years?  This question, posted on an acquaintance's Facebook page, drew my astonished attention.  My immediate "LOL" response received a reprimand for expressing "disrespect."  Among other responses to this lead question were rapturous expressions of "love" and even "worship" for The Great Leader Barack Obama.  As the furor ignited by the Trump election continues to burn and blow, the melancholy longing for an alleged Golden Age is arising.  The longing is deep, and accompanied by swooning ecstasy at the reappearance to public life of Mr. Barack Obama.
I suspect that such expressions are representative of a significant population.  This occasion, in which I drew the rebuke of some of the faithful also offering comments, refreshes the perception that there is in America a continuing embrace of a bizarre personality cult that has found a deep resonance within the nation's political culture.  This cult was manifest as early as Barack Obama's 2007-2008 candidacy and is unique in its promotion and protection by major cultural institutions.  Apparently, it did not end with a change of national administrations; rather, it continues in the form of retrospective longing for imagined wonders of a lost decade of grace, intelligence, and integrity led by one who serves as receptor for spiritual and emotional projections.

First Democrat Casualty in the Swamp Wars

The firing of James Comey was more representative of the first real Democrat Deep State casualty of the “Swamp Wars” than any other. However, despite top Democrats calling for Comey’s head at the beginning of May, the puppet masters in the Party took the position that the former FBI Director could still be useful with the now famous “Comey memo.” It is like using Comey as a dead fish to create an unbearable stench within America - a putrid stench aimed at manufacturing doubt and suspicion about the Trump presidency - yet again.
Now, the current “Democratic” Party mantra that seems to have the most traction is the “collusion” between the dastardly Russians and Donald Trump, or members of his election staff, or transition staff, or presidential staff (any propaganda that would work). Putin and the Russians are the current bad guys of the month. And ironically, James Comey may have been on the list in the past, but now he is considered useful still with his memo, which says little, and generates more unanswered questions, but fans the fumes of the stench. And though the Deep State Obama/Clinton tool was surgically removed from his post, and represents the first casualty the Democrat Party suffered in the Swamp Wars, he proved useful still.

Seven Ways Trump and Congress Can Improve Infrastructure without Spending a Dime of Taxpayer Money

“Infrastructure Week” sees the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, unions, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and many others telling Congress that “It’s Time To Build.” Yet a quick perusal of Infrastructure Week’s website suggests a more accurate description of their demand is, “It’s Time to Spend More Taxpayer Money.”
This is a shame. With President Trump pledging $1 trillion of new public and private investment across a decade and Democrats preferring direct federal spending, the group could be pushing at an open door. But the cross-party obsession on federal spending levels ignores opportunities to make infrastructure development more efficient without increasing demands on taxpayers.
In order to get the biggest “bang for our buck”, infrastructure policy should encourage innovation, cost-effective provision, and investment where it is most economically beneficial. This means putting aside short-term concerns about “creating jobs” and “shovel-ready projects,” and focusing on long-run growth. Here are seven ways to do that:

Putting Country Above Party Works Both Ways

Throughout Donald Trump's short but eventful presidency, Democrats have been imploring Republicans to show loyalty for country over party.

If you believe our bumbling president's hiring of the likes of Paul Manafort or Mike Flynn—who was apparently under investigation when he joined the administration—reflects abysmal judgment, I'm with you. If you believe those decisions could turn out to be scandals, it's difficult for me to disagree. If you believe Trump's admiration for authoritarians in Russia undermines our standing in the world, I'm there as well.
Then again, recklessly throwing around words like "impeachable" and "treason" before the evidence exists to level those consequential charges also puts party over country. Hysteria also erodes trust in our institutions for nothing more than political gain.
You will, for instance, have to read six paragraphs into Reuters' recent highly shared scoop headlined "Exclusive: Trump campaign had at least 18 undisclosed contacts with Russians: sources" to learn that "people who described the contacts to Reuters said they had seen no evidence of wrongdoing or collusion between the campaign and Russia in the communications reviewed so far."
Talk about burying your lede.

The Rosenstein Doctrine

few respectful thoughts on Special Prosecutors.
First of all, now that we know we can have Special Prosecutors without there being any meaningful evidence of a crime, or in fact any evidence at all of a crime besides gossip and endless political campaigning, let’s have a Special Prosecutor for Maxine Waters. She’s the screaming voice of the most anti-Trump, shrillest slice of the Democrat party. She’s been a civil servant all of her life, earning a modest wage. Somehow, she has a $4.5 million dollar home and other property here in L.A. True, there’s no evidence so far that’s she’s taken bribes. But under the logic of Rod Rosenstein, that only means she’s all the more guilty and needs a Special Prosecutor to investigate every aspect of her whole life.
“The more innocent, the more guilty,” said Stalin, and this is obviously the logic of the moment.
There’s no longer any need for an obvious crime. Just the allegation of a crime is now enough under the Rosenstein doctrine. So let’s also go after former Democrat Senator from Sunny Cal, Barbara Boxer. She’s a long-time Civil Servant, too. But she flies first class (I know because I’ve been yelled at by her in that cabin). Plus, she has a house in a posh Rancho Mirage community near mine. How could she have gotten that except by bribes? We need a Special Prosecutor.

The Underreported Success of the Trump Presidency

Something is afoot.   Even the circumspect Tucker Carlson has been warning how divided and close to losing it we are.   The left is full of “passionate intensity” (a euphemism), while many of us on the right are lacking conviction to fight for good.
However, there are a lot of positive moves coming from Washington, and it’s important that we highlight them, since the media won’t.  We have a gifted group in power, they are doing what is necessary to allow us to hold.   As conservatives, it’s important to understand what their accomplishments are, how they are helping, and do what we can in support.
The underreported:
While the Democrat/media complex tries to whip their base, and the country into a frenzy, this administration is putting good things in place.   First and foremost for our culture is the restoration of law and order.   That begins with giving the respect due to our law enforcement officials, which has been a hallmark of this administration.  The outrageous demonization of law enforcement by the previous administration is gone.  The ongoing praise of and cooperation with our police from Trump et al is not only refreshing, it’s going to have a long term positive effect.  Violent demonstrators are no longer being coddled (except in Berkley), instead they are prosecuted.   Eventually, they won’t even get away with being lawless thugs in Berkley.
The existing border laws are being enforced.  Illegal crossings are down 70%.  ICE agents have been reenergized, rounding up criminals and deporting them.   Bad guys are on notice.  Drug trafficking will slow.  MS-13 is being fought.  This is just the beginning.  The Attorney General is simply enforcing laws that exist.   With Trump’s resolve to control the borders, these border issues will get better, and become reasonably controlled.  If this is successful, the nation will be able to take a deep breath.  Genuine assimilation will have a chance to succeed.

Part I:
A. Back off and let those men who want to marry men, marry men
B. Allow those women who want to marry women, marry women.

C. Allow those folks who want to abort their babies, abort their babies.
In three generations, there will be no more Democrats.

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves."

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the government take care of him had better take a much closer look at the American Indian."

News Items Worth Reading 3

And, this item provides an entirely different take on the Rich murder/DNC/Russian/FBI fiasco.   This adds more detail.  The Democrats are scrambling and hoping their focus badgering Trump will keep the public occupied and not pay attention to their several ongoing scandals of major proportions.

This is an insightful piece that will at times frustrate, anger you and still other times evoke agreement.  It definitely offers food for thought.  Quote: "Meanwhile, to all of you yapping incessantly about Russia, don’t complain in 2020 when you get a horrible corporate Democratic candidate and Trump wins. Even if you dodge the Hillary bullet, don’t expect for a second to get anyone decent nominated. The “resistance” is clueless and Trump has much better odds of a second term than ever being impeached. The Russia nonsense is all a carefully crafted distraction narrative to keep you stuck on the debt serf plantation and away from organizing genuine resistance. Keep it up, the plutocrats are laughing uncontrollably.  This is precisely why I reserve my most intense contempt for the corporate media. It’s quite intentionally focusing people’s attention on a still unproven theory that marginally affects their lives, compared to very real issues of economic misery and the neo-feudal world being institutionalized all around them. This is straight up evil. The corporate press is deliberately not focusing on things that really matter to people, and diverting mass attention to what is still just a conspiracy theory. If you have proof Trump is a Russian stooge, let’s see it. If not, then focus on the very serious issues that matter and helped elect Trump in the first place. The corporate media, neoliberal Dems and neocons are successfully diverting genuine angst and energy away from pressing economic concerns and toward a imperial geopolitical agenda that benefits the plutocrats and their ambitions. They are manufacturing resistance."

Facebook is "all in" on both the killing of babies and the censorship game.  The Facebook concept is good but its political activism is bad.  If its management was decent they would recognize they should protect freedom of speech instead of selective politically motivated censorship.   Quote: "Women must be allowed to kill their unborn babies to achieve equality to men.  It’s a barbaric and insulting statement, but it is essentially what Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards told the liberal blog Bustle this week.
An abortion destroys the life of a unique, living human being in the womb — the woman’s own child. Yet, Richards said she believes a woman’s ability to choose abortion is “fundamental to women’s equality.”   This is the organization which benefits from selling baby parts.  Ethical behavior is not part of their corporate operating standards.

This is definitely an item deserving of an FBI investigation. We will just have to wait and see if it happens.

This is so very true.  Hopefully those involved in Obama's rogue IRS activities will be fully exposed and ultimately punished.

This poor excuse for a president is trying his best to remake himself into a courageous icon of history. This particular effort is sickening.  Quote: "In an interview with Jack Schlossberg last week, former President Barack Obama said that he showed a tremendous amount of courage when he allowed Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad to gas his own people without facing any punishment for the genocide. On the evening he was to accept the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage award, Obama was asked about the most difficult choices he had to make while occupying the White House. “Well, the hardest issue that I dealt with was always sending out young men and women into harm’s way – our troops,” Obama said. “But I actually think that the issue that required the most political courage was the decision not to bomb Syria after the chemical weapons use had been publicized, and rather to negotiate them removing chemical weapons from Syria."  Those of us who remember know full well his boast was an empty bluff and that he did not have the courage to follow through.

These are the kind of people the political left supports.  Elements like this not so radical Muslims are invited in by leftist leaders in Western Nations.  What compels the political left elites to so ignore facts that cannot be disputed?  Facts like this Imam's call to murder jews.    And, take a look at this item.  The young lady is a former Muslim who tells us that we need to keep Muslims out of our country.  See what she says.  I would trust her word before anything Obama, Hillary, Merkel or any other liberal/socialist has to say.

This is racial insanity.  It is even racists in its intent and blatantly so.  I wish Obama had never been elected.  His racism spawned a rebirth of racial tensions.  If someone like Ben Carson had been president things would have been much different.

News Items Worth Reading 2

This writer lays bare his feelings of what is going on all around us and believes it is more about a coordinated movement by the political left, entrenched bureaucracies, mainstream media and RINOs shoving average Americans out of their way than it is about their abject hatred of Trump.  They think this is THEIR country and we the people are bothersome tripe to their grand plans for us.  Quote: "When targeting the dummies, the goal is simple. Draw off enough weak, attention-addicted RINOs to make it impossible for the President to govern. Then, hopefully, us normals will shrug, and slink away, having relearned our place. After all, we’re deplorable. And when the liberal establishment retakes power, and the mavericks and goody-goodies get tossed aside, the bureaucracy, media and the Democrats will conspire to ensure that no one can ever take their power from them again. But they haven’t considered the consequences. We’ll object. So we have to fight against this cable network coup. Because, if we don’t fight now, we all may end up fighting later."

The news behind the news is the real story here.  The president of the United States is the highest authority in the land when it comes to classifying or declassifying any information.  The antics of rogue government elements who have been releasing information are the guilty ones and the media outlets who report the leaked information are complicit.  All involved should be held accountable...the suspicion is that the guilty parties within government are Obama hold overs working hard to destroy Trump.  The media who report it are complicit in such attempts.  That is the real news.   Quote: "The Washington Post reported Monday that President Trump revealed "highly classified" intelligence to Russia Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during their recent meeting at the White House. But the Post forgot to mention that the President’s conversation with Lavro v is itself among the most secret and classified matters our government holds – and the leak of key parts of that conversation is likely a crime. This is now the third time in a short period that the president's most secret and private discussions with a world leader have been leaked to The Washington Post."

Some Democrat elected officials once again demonstrate their sanctimonious ignorance.    This elected official apparently thinks her First Amendment rights are different from most of the rest of us.   These people no matter their position are an embarrassment to average Americans who pay their gaudy salaries.  They should be ashamed of themselves.

This is the truth the Democrats and leftist mainstream media will never talk about.  This is far, far, far worse than anything Trump has done, if anything of that passes as unethical or illegal.  I'm sorry to say this but Hillary is definitely unethical if not an outright criminal and this along with a host of other examples proves it.

Given ongoing outbursts of chaotic and irrational behavior of  Democrat loyalists and mainstream media this assessment seems pretty accurate. Quote: "By constantly whipping up hysteria over imagined misconduct (remember the phony story, thoroughly debunked under oath, that President Trump fired James Comey after he requested more resources for the Russia investigation?), the media and their hyperventilating Democrat allies are driving insane the more unstable elements of their coalition.  The entirely predictable consequences include violent attacks on Trump supporters and eventually could lead to a wave of political assassinations. Think I am exaggerating?  These are just the most recent incidents of political violence form individual leftists:"   After providing three examples the author has this to say.   "The silence of the shams today is deafening. Those who don't stand up and denounce this accelerating wave of violence are setting themselves up to profit from it.

A very disturbing piece. If true things will get really, really bad for Trump and the nation. Quote: "In previous articles, I mentioned the importance of the midterm elections, and how (to run the country effectively and to be reelected) the President needs success within his first six months in office.  Although he is more than willing to make changes and has demonstrated his good intentions, the battle with the ensconced Marxists labeling themselves as either “progressives” or “centrists” is being lost.  Why is it being lost?  It is because these prior Obama appointees in the Circuit courts and the Supreme Court, along with the innumerable holdovers within the administration’s machinery effectively amount to a “fifth column,” bent on sabotaging the President’s efforts. The successful derailment is well under way.  As I wrote in other articles, all that is needed for the Democrats to take the Senate and the House of Representatives in the upcoming Midterm elections is for the President to not make visible and productive changes within the first six months of his term.  The stultified public will perceive it as a failure, and with the RINO (Republicans In Name Only) Republican party to help with a “shove” here and there, the President will fall right into the pool."

If you do not think the Washington Post is immersed in the Washington DC swamp you need to read this.  This political machine and left wing propaganda operation is definitely not a newspaper.  It needs to be junked and rebuilt from scratch as do many of its partisan fake news left wing partners.    Add this to the mix and you will see what I mean.  Read a few of the reader comments, too.

This is just one of the unfortunate consequences of the long standing control the Democrats have had over the city of Chicago.  Quote: "Chicago disarmed its law-abiding citizens in 1982 with gun control laws that all but banned firearms from the city. Recently, Mayor Rahm Emanuel dissolved the gang task forces, relocated detective bureaus away from high crime districts … wink wink, and burdened beat cops with a kilo of ACLU paperwork for every street stop, no matter how minor. How’s it working out? The crime and murder rate, which had been dropping until 1982, immediately turned upward. It’s now at third-world levels and still rising."    This is another reason not to follow irrational Democrat/socialist political gun control and law enforcement policies.  Historically one of the first things socialists do after seizing control is to disarm the public.

Irrational and dangerous leftists across the globe are becoming more and more bold and more dangerous all the time.  This is just one item to illustrate the point.

This is the mess dirty politicians of both parties make.  While this nightmare is located in Alabama, multiply it by an exponential number and it represents what goes on in Washington, DC.

This is about the curious case of the murder of a DNC operative during the most recent election cycle. The claim is that he was the one who leaked internal DNC emails to WikiLeaks.  A private investigator working the case for the family says the DNC is inexplicably poking its nose into the investigation and the police department is acting strangely.   This item raised questions, too. Quote: "There are many questions raised by the latest revelations, but one of the persistent oddities has been the classification of Rich’s murder by Washington police as a botched robbery when nothing was stolen, not his wallet, watch or phone."  And,  "When asked by WND to confirm, deny or comment on reports that detectives did not interview Rich’s co-workers, a Washington police spokesperson replied, “We do not have any evidence to suggest that Mr. Rich’s employment was a factor in his death.”  WND also asked police if they could confirm or deny the department has a laptop owned by Rich that had evidence of contact with WikiLeaks on it, or that its investigators were “told to stand down on this case.”  Curious, No?
But this item pops up and one has to wonder. Have no idea if there is a relationship or not.   But, curious it is.  And, finally there is this.    If interested, here is another item that adds a bit to the story.

News Items Worth Reading 1

This item offers us a sobering synopsis of our nation's leaders contributions from both political parties to destabilizing the world.  We need to acknowledge what we have done and change course. Quote: "So what can we do to stop the blowback, liberate the country from the iron-clad grip of the military industrial complex, and get back to a point where freedom actually means something?
  • For starters, get your priorities in order.
  • Stop playing politics with your principles.
  • Value all human life as worthy of protection.
  • Recognize that in the eyes of the government, we’re all expendable.
  • Demand that the government stop creating, stockpiling and deploying weapons of mass destruction: nuclear, chemical, biological, cyber, etc.
  • Finally, stop supporting the war machine.
Until these missteps are corrected, we should probably do as Chalmers Johnson suggests and stop talking about “democracy” and “human rights.”  This is 100% right.

The continuing saga of the decline of the Democrat party just got worse.  Quote: "In the aftermath of the shooting, the Rich family hired a private investigator – Rich Wheeler, a former D.C. homicide detective who says evidence on Seth Rich’s laptop suggests he was in contact with WikiLeaks prior to his death. Of note, Wheeler does not have possession of the laptop in question – however he said specific information will be released on Tuesday (5/16).  Furthermore, Wheeler believes there has been a cover-up: “The police department nor the FBI have been forthcoming,” said Wheeler. “They haven’t been cooperating at all. I believe that the answer to solving his death lies on that computer, which I believe is either at the police department or either at the FBI. I have been told both.  When we asked Wheeler if his sources have told him there is information that links Rich to Wikileaks, he said, “Absolutely. Yeah. That’s confirmed.”   More:

This accusation made against Trump certainly warrants investigation and if true appropriate action taken.  We will just have to wait and see.

This Democrat claims that the Deep State is attempting to take down Trump.  His observations are interesting.  Quote: "The goal of the internal attacks on President Donald Trump that manifest themselves as leaks is not to alter policy, but to subvert the president, former Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, said Wednesday on Hannity. Kucinich said the actions of the “deep state” — a so-called group of influential government employees trying to manipulate government policy — have the Trump administration “under attack from within.” Trump’s internal threats result from agencies with their own agendas, said Kucinich, who ran for the White House in 2004 and 2008. Curious, isn't it that no one is clamoring for an investigation of the five times (at least) the Obama administration leaked classified information.  Apparently they are only concerned about protecting classified information when they are the minority party.  That must have been the reason it was okay for the Obama administration to do it and for Hillary during her four years as Secretary of State to knowingly pass hundreds of classified documents over an unclassified system.  Democrat did not raise a ruckus when any of this illegal activity was exposed.  Indeed they protected both from top to bottom of the Democrat party hierarchy.  So it seems that to them it is okay if they do it but not okay if a Republican does it.  Could one call that blatantly dishonest hypocrisy???   The fact is NO ONE should get away with breaking federal laws.

The government has swindled the public many times over.  Both political parties are guilty. Social Security is the worst of the lot. This item does not recount its sordid history but rest assured promises made have been callously broken by politicians using the money originally intended for citizen retirement for their political agendas. Quote: "Social Security accounted for one-quarter of the federal government’s spending in 2015. Yet the Social Security trust fund has paid out more benefits than it has collected in employee taxes across the past six years.  The fund will likely run out of money around 2030. This is a major problem as a significant number of people rely on Social Security payments for a decent quality of life during retirement. The only solution left is to privatize the program."

This former DOJ spokesman says that Comey is trying to take down Trump.  Quote: "Former FBI Director James Comey may have been building a legal case against President Donald Trump well before the president fired him on May 9, according to a former Department of Justice (DOJ) spokesperson. Matthew Miller, who served as the DOJ’s Director of the Office of Public Affairs under former Attorney General Eric Holder, suggested that Comey may have been building an obstruction of justice case against the president, in an interview with the Washington Post.  Miller’s suggestion carries weight not just because of his extensive background at DOJ and in government, but also because he predicted that Comey left a paper trail of his interactions with Trump. Miller sent the following tweet five days before the New York Times reported that Comey wrote a memo indicating the president had asked him to end an investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn."

This writer is no fan of Trump but he is more put out with the lack of ethics of those who are aimlessly and viciously attacking him without any evidence.  Quote: "There’s an old saying, “Put up, or shut up.” If you’ve got the goods, let’s see them. Show me the proof and I’m ready to believe. And there are millions of Americans willing to do the same. I say this as someone with a long, documented history of not being a fan of Donald Trump. What I’m not willing to do is take the word of people unwilling to put their name to a charge, nor am I willing to believe The New York Times or any newspaper without some proof. It may not matter to them, but my integrity won’t allow it."

This piece provides an unflattering view of the political left and its loyal mainstream media's political bias.

This piece suggests that Obama committed numerous impeachable offenses while in office.  But he got away with every one of them.  He was protected by the Democrat party, a fawning mainstream media and a supportive legal system.  And, in the face of the violent opposition they knew they would endure the Republicans were too chicken to take him on.  I do not know if all 25 examples summarized in this piece qualify as impeacheable but many do and collectively they together do so in spades.  This is a long article so it will take some time to read.
