Colorado Court Refuses Tina Peters’ Request for a Bonded Appeal

Colorado's judicial system is criticized for its treatment of Tina Peters, a former Mesa County clerk sentenced to 9 years in prison for exposing voter fraud in the 2020 election. Supporters claim that her actions were whistleblowing and argue that corrupt judges are punishing her for doing her job. She copied election records before a mandated system operation, which some allege was compromised.

Despite her compliance with laws that require maintaining election records for at least two years, she faces a lengthy prison sentence. Peters is appealing her case and sought permission to wait at home while her appeal is processed, but the courts denied her request.

At 70 years old and with no prior criminal record, supporters believe there is no justification for keeping her in prison during the appeal process. They claim this decision is an effort to punish Peters and uphold a narrative. Calls for intervention, including an investigation into the judge's conduct and a full pardon from President Trump, have emerged from her supporters. They encourage others to pray for her situation, which they view as a significant injustice.
