Also this week, I spoke at the American Legislative Exchange Council's (ALEC) Annual Meeting in Denver, Colo. I covered immigration's role in driving the noncitizen population, the documents that noncitizens can receive that can be used to register to vote, and the actions states can take to prevent illegal aliens from settling in their state.
The Only Citizens Vote Coalition hosted the panel. The Immigration Accountability Project is a founding member of the coalition that educates Americans on the importance of citizen-only voting. I'm excited to report that ALEC's joint task force for Federalism and International Relations/Homeland Security unanimously approved model state legislation to address noncitizen voting.
Finally, IAP's co-founder and policy director Rosemary Jenks joined guest host and former U.S. Rep. Dave Brat on the War Room to discuss the Southwest border trends and the issue of noncitizen voting.
