Adam Schiff, Obama Bros Raise Wildfire Relief Funds Through Charity That's Funneled Millions to Liberal Dark Money Groups

 A charity promoted by Senator Adam Schiff and the podcast Pod Save America for wildfire relief in Los Angeles has connections to liberal dark money groups. The California Community Foundation (CCF), which oversees wildfire recovery efforts, has raised $30 million from high-profile donors like Steven Spielberg and Mark Zuckerberg, distributing $15 million to various organizations, including Planned Parenthood and immigrant rights groups.

Tax filings show that CCF has sent nearly $14 million to liberal dark money organizations since 2018, including $11. 6 million to George Soros-backed Tides Nexus and $2. 3 million to the New Venture Fund, which is run by a liberal consulting firm. The foundation also donated nearly $6. 8 million to the Church of Scientology. Critics have pointed out that politicians like Governor Gavin Newsom have used ActBlue to solicit donations, rather than directing donors to aid organizations directly.

CCF has supported various causes, including universities and activist groups, while also contributing to conservative groups such as Susan B. Anthony List. Among its dark money group contributions, CCF has given funds earmarked for anti-Israel initiatives and the Black Lives Matter Support Fund.

Despite the controversy, CCF has not allocated wildfire relief money to these dark money groups. Schiff, Pod Save America, and CCF did not respond to requests for comment regarding how they vetted the organizations receiving the donations.
