Will Any Federal Officials Pay for What They Did?

The major scientific deception of the century is being revealed, raising the question of whether any federal officials will be held accountable for the damage done to Americans. When the Covid-19 pandemic began in early 2020, federal officials quickly dismissed theories suggesting the virus came from a Chinese lab funded by US agencies. Key Biden administration figures defended the Chinese government despite its obstruction of investigations into the virus's origins, as noted by recent reports.

The FBI's leading expert believed the virus leaked from a lab, but his findings were suppressed by the Biden administration. Scientists at the National Center for Medical Intelligence also concluded it was a lab leak but were silenced. The Inspector General is investigating why those experts were hushed. Additionally, the Department of Energy reached the same conclusion about the virus's origins. A senior CIA analyst recently testified that six analysts were bribed to drop their lab leak conclusions.

In early 2020, the Chinese government acknowledged a pandemic in Wuhan while denying the virus's lab origins, despite evidence linking it to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which had been studying bats for several years. Chinese researchers had fallen sick with Covid-19 symptoms before the government denied responsibility. Numerous circumstantial pieces of evidence supported the lab origin theory.

The outbreak led to one of the most blatant cover-ups in US history. The National Institutes of Health funded risky gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, which involves genetically altering viruses for research. Such experiments pose serious risks, and warnings about safety issues existed before the pandemic hit but were not made public until later.

Top federal scientists acknowledged the pandemic might harm their credibility. Dr. Francis Collins, then director of the National Institutes of Health, stressed the need for experts to present a united front to counter “conspiracy” theories. Anthony Fauci quickly sought to disprove the lab leak theory, with some scientists explicitly stating they wanted to remain distant from origin stories to protect their reputations. The respected journal The Lancet also joined the cover-up efforts.

Critics of the lab leak theory faced accusations of racism, and the federal government pressured social media platforms to silence opposing views about the virus's origins in early 2020. If the pandemic had been recognized as a government failure, it would have hampered politicians’ ability to position themselves as saviors while exercising control over American lives.

Governors' responses to the pandemic led to severe economic damage disguised as efforts to protect public health. Many politicians invoked authority to impose significant restrictions while ignoring the interconnectedness of people's jobs and lives. Public policies often relied on questionable scientific claims, with regulations like mask mandates misleadingly presented as effective measures against the virus.

The political handling of Covid-19 stoked division and fear, leading to a climate where dissent against mandates was harshly treated. Further, the Biden administration later restricted funding to the Wuhan lab but failed to address accountability for those involved in the research and response efforts regarding the pandemic. This situation starkly contrasts with the tragic fallout experienced by many amid the health crisis.
