A terror group that aims to "defeat" America will hold its annual Islamic supremacy conference in Mississauga, Ontario, on January 18. This conference, hosted by Hizb ut-Tahrir, will focus on "eliminating the obstacles that are delaying the return" of a global Islamic caliphate, according to the Western Standard.
Hizb ut-Tahrir, meaning "Party of Liberation," announced the Khalifah (Caliphate) Conference on Facebook, questioning whether America is truly so powerful that the Muslim community cannot defeat it. The group mentioned historical superpowers like the Romans and Persians that were overcome by the Muslim community. They urged attendees to learn how the community can prevail over current powerful nations, including America, Europe, Russia, and China.
Hizb ut-Tahrir operates under Sharia Law and seeks to establish a global Muslim state. It is labeled a terrorist entity in multiple countries including the UK, Germany, and Egypt. While the group didn’t disclose the conference venue, interested individuals can register through Eventbrite to receive the location. The group is banned in most Arab countries except Lebanon, Yemen, and the UAE.
