My first media appearance of the year was yesterday. In it, I pointed out that both California and Wisconsin still have policies allowing local officials to enforce mandatory face masks on vulnerable populations. Five years into this situation, I continue to discuss how not to wear a face mask. When I started writing about health mandates in February 2020, I never thought these absurdities would come to pass. I believed such an extreme response to a public health crisis was unimaginable. Initially, I thought the lockdowns would last only a few days, but instead, they extended for months and even years.
I have ceased making predictions about this topic because I now see that the situation could deteriorate further. It is essential for people like us to take action to prevent this decline. As the mandates progressed, I wrote "Face Masks in One Lesson," a guide on living unmasked and still feeling valued. More was needed, so I used LewRockwell.com to share my views more frequently. I also created videos based on those articles to engage viewers who prefer visual content.
I participated in various forms of media, including radio, television, print, and podcasts, to spread my message. When some were skeptical about my assertion that masks are neither safe nor effective, I wrote "Face Masks Hurt Kids," in which I provided nearly a thousand examples of how wearing a mask is unsafe. While I am not a medical professional, I offer a foundation in the book that supports the argument against mask usage until thorough safety research is completed.
Recognizing that more direct engagement was necessary, I held regular meetings in California to teach people about how to avoid wearing masks. Eventually, I began traveling along the West Coast to inspire and educate activists. I also invited notable figures who opposed the lockdowns to share their knowledge and participated in gatherings organized by others.
Understanding that constant contact and involvement were crucial, I initiated daily emails to motivate and engage people. Additionally, I created an online community called Project Pureblood, where participants commit to not wearing masks and receiving vaccines.
Living in downtown San Francisco, I practice what I preach by surrounding myself with supportive individuals and encouraging them to resist compliance as I do. I learned from my struggles that it is not the oppressor’s fault if people feel oppressed. I refuse to accept a narrative that suggests my or anyone else's hardships stem from a unique privilege. I committed to surrounding myself with individuals who also wish to reclaim their freedom.
While I do not know what lies ahead or if I will even see tomorrow, each day presents an opportunity to promote freedom. I invite you to do the same. Wearing a face mask is a choice that contributes to a little more tyranny. Every day consists of choices to either promote freedom or accept compliance.
Recently, I received news of healthcare facilities in several states reinstating mask mandates due to worries about a "quad-demic. " Although I initially only found one Wisconsin health system returning to a mask requirement, reports indicated that certain hospitals in Indiana, Illinois, New Jersey, California, and New York City had also implemented mask mandates.
Do not take these reports too seriously. A few misguided administrators are enacting these policies, exacerbated by sensationalist media coverage. We should be prepared to confront these mandates as they arise and do not let the situation seem worse than it is. Change can occur when individuals draw attention to unreasonable practices, as I experienced firsthand at a Midwestern healthcare facility recently.
This renewed push for mandate enforcement may lead authorities to seek control again, similar to the tactics used during previous years. However, each person has an influence in their circle. This is why I am urging you to reject these outdated ideas. Spaces like healthcare facilities and schools are vulnerable to these mandates, but we should resist them aggressively.
I ask you to stand firm against this nonsense in your surroundings and to never comply. The choice begins with something as simple as refusing to wear a mask, which can lead to much broader efforts toward living a free and principled life regardless of the sacrifices required. Will you join me in this commitment today?
