Democrats Are Rebuilding Deep-State Opposition To A Second Trump Term

Democrats are pivoting on how to handle a second Trump administration.

This week, The New York Times did a full spread on the various liberal groups aiming to detail a second Trump term.

If you think of a Trump win in terms of the given stages of grief, there are some Democrats already pivoting to acceptance.

The Times led its story with, "Opponents of Donald J. Trump are drafting potential lawsuits in case he is elected in November and carries out mass deportations, as he has vowed. One group has hired a new auditor to withstand any attempt by a second Trump administration to unleash the Internal Revenue Service against them. Democratic-run state governments are even stockpiling abortion medication."

The Times notes, "But the early timing, volume and scale of the planning underway to push back against a potential second Trump administration are without precedent. The loose-knit coalition is determined not to be caught flat-footed, as many were after his unexpected victory in 2016.".

I've seen some Democrats try to make hay out of the story that Trump demanded Biden take a cognitive test but got the doctor's name wrong in the demand.

They're demanding Supreme Court retirements and are now building plans to oppose a second Trump term.
