Progressive California Crime Spree Seeded by Soros

Residents of California have expressed their frustration with the consequences of progressive crime policies funded by George Soros. These policies promoted the election of progressive prosecutors who acted more like defense attorneys than law enforcers, leading to an increase in crime. To address these issues, California voters supported Proposal 36, which partially repealed Proposal 47. This earlier proposal, branded as the “Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act,” lowered the penalties for many non-violent crimes, resulting in a surge in criminal activity, making neighborhoods and schools less safe. The strong support for Proposal 36 in a predominantly Democratic state highlights the disconnect between progressive leaders and the citizens affected by their policies.

Proposal 47 had raised the threshold for certain crimes and decriminalized many drug offenses, contributing to a crime wave. Some businesses had to shut down due to rampant criminal activity, with incidents occurring daily in some locations. The increase in thefts became almost normalized, with thieves using tactics to steal just below the threshold of $950. Critics argue that the policies presented by the ACLU and Soros are harmful to the very communities they claim to support, as they have made crime more profitable and dangerous.

As crime rates spiked after these progressive reforms, major retailers reported a significant increase in shoplifting incidents. Criminals felt emboldened by the lack of serious consequences for their actions, and organizations like the ACLU seemed to ignore the reality that many of the victims of these crimes were from black and brown communities. The proposal to treat crime merely as a symptom of social issues is increasingly seen as deceptive and detrimental.

Many Californians, including diverse groups, supported the reversal of these policies, challenging the notion that the approval of Proposal 36 was solely a white or conservative agenda. California's experience serves as a potential cautionary tale for other progressive cities facing similar dilemmas. The narrative used by some progressive leaders, suggesting that the prosecution of criminals is inherently racist, does not appear to align with reality, as many individuals from minority communities are also calling for safer neighborhoods.

There is a growing awareness among Americans about the dangers of extreme progressive policies. The voter response in California suggests that change is possible, which offers hope that similar realizations can occur in other parts of the country.
