This is about a perpetual lie that Democrats frequently tell. This is a direct consequence of Progressive Cultural Marxists efforts to undermine our nation's Christian roots going back to the time Christians fled to our shores from the religious oppression of European autocratic governments. They have largely succeeded as evidenced by the moral and ethical decay visible in almost every corner of our society.  How else can people like socialists Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, AOC and other far left wingers have the following they do? The corruption dispensed by progressives holding positions of power over our school children have filled their heads with falsehoods from kindergarten all the way through to PhD levels across our educational system which was purposely targeted by the progressive infiltrators to lead the charge. This is a prime example of a Democrat run city taking the law into its own hands placing the interests of citizens at risk for stupid political posturing reasons.  Abiding the nation's laws is not important in the minds and hearts Democrats. No matter that at one time they had a hand in making the very laws they now ignore, violate or encourage others to disobey.
