This item highlights some of the reasons the Democrats were defeated so handily on 4 November.  Yet the President being the ideologue he is does not recognize or acknowledge the will of the people.  He knows that his immigration policy is wildly unpopular.  Yet he pledges to act without regard to the people's representatives in Congress and expects Congress to come to him, not him to the Republicans.  And he knows that Obamacare passed without a single Republican supporting it and he knows the massive waste of taxpayer money that has occurred and the enormous damage being done to the nation's healthcare system.  Yet in both cases he does not care - if the past is a predictor of the future his promise to work with the Republicans will be met with his resistance and demands that they compromise with him and not him with Republicans.  What matters is what HE wants.  That is the attitude of a dictator not a president.  Regarding Obamacare, illegal immigration and a few other items read this:

This is one assessment of the results of sweeping Republican victories at state legislatures all the way to federal level.  I share this not to gloat...I am not a Republican.  Rather I share it because it lists some of the reasons the progressive left Democrats lost is such a big way.  It should not be considered by the Republicans as license to duplicate the manner in which Democrats have governed over the past number of years.  Bipartisanship when honestly practiced is far superior than the past almost dictatorial behavior of the President, Attorney General, and multiple administration officials, Harry Reid and a number of members of Congress.   http://www.redstate.com/2014/11/05/dear-republicans-one-elected-work-democrats/    The message should be for the left to stop trying to change everything that made this country great and turn it into their socialistic image of what they want it to be.  They have too long ignored the needs and desires of the vast majority of the people, and our Constitution.

12 Numbers Which Prove That Americans Are Sick And Tired Of Politics As Usual

The American people are increasingly waking up to the fact that nothing ever seems to change in Washington D.C. no matter which political party is in power.  In fact, as you will see later on in this article, an all-time high 53 percent of all Americans believe that neither party “represents the American people”.  Over the past several decades, we have sent a Bush, a Clinton, another Bush and an Obama to the White House, but the policies coming out of Washington have remained pretty much the same the entire time.  The mainstream media would have us believe that the Republicans and the Democrats are constantly fighting like cats and dogs, but the truth is that the Republicans want to take us to the same place that the Democrats want to take us – just a little more slowly perhaps.  And behind the scenes, Republicans and Democrats have a good time with one another and they are ultimately controlled by the same set of oligarchs.  The American people are really starting to recognize what a sham our system has become, and the numbers show that they are quite fed up with it.

The Feds 'Modernize' Food Safety Without Making Food Safer

Can the federal government spend hundreds of millions of dollars on food-safety regulations without making Americans or our food much safer? Sadly, the answer appears to be yes.
In late September, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released two key sets of revised rules intended to implement the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), the federal food-safety law passed in 2011.
The FSMA, widely billed as the most important update of the nation's food-safety regulations in 75 years, is intended, as the FDA puts it, “to ensure the U.S. food supply is safe by shifting the focus from responding to contamination to preventing it.”
