Following one of the most violent days of unrest since the anti-extradition bill protests began three months ago,
Hong Kongers again ignored police orders to stay home on Sunday and gathered at Hong Kong International Airport.
But violent,
showdown with police Sunday afternoon,
calm had returned to the airport by Sunday night,
but travelers were left to improvise alternative routes to the airport as police shut down the express train service,
forcing flyers to take taxis and buses on highways clogged with pedestrians.
Throughout the day,
friendly motorists gave protesters rides from the airport and Tung Chung back to more urban areas of Hong Kong.
Speaking to the Hong Kong Free Press,
a 25-year-old protester named James said his group had decided to leave the airport because they felt vulnerable.
A wave of anger has been directed at MTR over its decision to allow Hong Kong police to board trains and harass protesters.
Protesters also spray painted "
Burn with us"
and "
8.31,
7.21"
on walls of Tung Chung MTR. The latter refers to indiscriminate attack in Yuen Long on July 21,
and police alleged attacks over protesters and civilians in railway stations.
A spokeswoman for Hong Kong police told Voice of America that police had used "
Appropriate force"
during the clashes with suspected protesters.

The influence of the hard-left on our future leaders is far more pervasive,
insidious and dangerous than the influence of the hard-right.
People on the "
Woke"
hard-left seem so self-righteous about their monopoly over Truth that many of them see no reason to allow dissenting,
politically incorrect,
views to be expressed.
The most extreme example of this distortion of the role of higher education took place at my own university when a distinguished dean of a Harvard residential college was fired from his deanship because some "
Woke"
students claimed to feel unsafe in his presence because he was representing,
as a defense lawyer,
a man accused of rape.
To be sure,
there is a vast difference between how Stalin treated political incorrectness and how the "
Woke"
generation treats it.
For many "
Wokers,"
freedom of speech is nothing more than a weapon of the privileged used to subjugate the unprivileged.
The other dangerous similarity between the Stalinists and the "
Wokers"
is that both disdain due process for those they deem guilty of political incorrectness or other crimes and sins.
That is why I make the controversial claim that today the "
Woke"
hard-left is more dangerous to civil liberties than the right.

We had both Trump and Macron sweet talking about getting Russia back and again renaming their club G8. Last Tuesday at a G7 presser in Biarritz,
the Rothschild groomed Macron took it one step further opening up about the reasons why they all of a sudden longed for friendship with Russia: "
We are living the end of Western hegemony."
In the same series,
Britain's new government under Boris Johnson was telling his colleagues in Biarritz that he is now decisively going for a no-deal Brexit,
after which he went back to London and staged a coup d'état by suspending parliament to ensure no elected opposition interfered with it.
At the same time,
Russia paraded its resurrected military in Crimea and Syria as well as its formidable new hypersonic doomsday weapons.
Endlessly repeating their own self-serving talking points they must have truly fancied that Russia's economy amounted to nothing else than export of fossil fuels,
that "
Russia's economy is the size of Holland's,"
that "
Russia does not produce anything,"
and that Russia was "
Nothing but a gas station with nukes".
Nowhere to be found were reports on how Putin by 2013 had totally overhauled the economy transforming Russia into the most self-sufficient diversified major country in the world with all the capabilities of the foremost industrial powers.
The Western world is in turmoil:
the previous overwhelming geopolitical domination is gone and over with;
military solutions against the main adversaries - China and Russia - are off the books;
hybrid wars against them have failed;
China and Russia are economically stronger than ever,
too strong for the adversary;
and to boot the domestic Western economies are in extraordinary bad shape,
risking a depression of epic proportions.
Since 2014 when the sanctions were first imposed,
Russia's industry has grown 12%. Russia's merchandise trade surplus for the first half of 2019 was $
93 billion,
ranking third in the world after China and Germany and before South Korea.
What's more important is that while Russia's growth is hovering around the 1%,
so is that of all of the Western world.

The Lakewood Democrat said the trend toward freelance work is "
About corporations trying to oppress workers.
When you hear folks talking about the new economy,
the gig economy,
the innovation economy,
it's feudalism all over again."
In that 2018 case,
the California Supreme Court ruled that when a worker-business arrangement cannot pass its "
ABC test,"
a three-pronged standard that determines if a worker can legally operate as an independent contractor,
the worker must be a hired employee.
After it passed in the lower chamber in May,
Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez-Fletcher,
D-San Diego,
the bill's sponsor,
tweeted out a thanks to her colleagues who voted to prevent workers from being deprived "
Of the labor law protections they are rightfully entitled to."
Steve Smith,
the California Labor Federation's director of communications,
has said that "
Classifying workers as independent contractors"
means "
Cheating"
them "
Out of basic protections in the law."
Freelancers make their own hours,
work for multiple companies at the same time,
walk away from bad bosses,
supplement their full-time jobs when emergency funds are needed,
juggle work and school,
and look for projects they prefer rather than taking those assigned to them.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, "
Fewer than one in 10 independent contractors would prefer a traditional work arrangement."
What happens to the nine who prefer freelancing if lawmakers set the bar so high only a few can reach it?
"
Independent contractors,
on average,
cost about 66 cents on the dollar for every hour they work compared to a full-time employee,"
says the R Street Institute's Jarret Dieterle,
with California businesses expected to be paying an additional $
1.3 billion to nearly $
7 billion a year if AB 5 becomes law.
Complicating the legislation are discussions about exemptions for workers in some industries,
such as medical,
engineering,
real estate sales,
and insurance sales.

Multiple projectiles were fired from Lebanese territory into northern Israel,
landing in or around the town of Avivim,
near the Israel-Lebanese border,
the IDF reported Sunday afternoon.
According to the preliminary IDF report,
the projectiles were anti-tank missiles,
which were fired at army vehicles near the border,
as well as an IDF base.
"
A number of anti-
tank missiles were fired from Lebanon towards an IDF base and military vehicles.
A number of hits have been confirmed."
Israeli forces "
Returned fire at the source of the fire and at targets in southern Lebanon,"
the IDF spokesperson continued.
The Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attacks,
adding that it had destroyed an IDF vehicle.
The IDF has also ordered farmers to cease all activity near the Lebanese border,
and has asked drivers to avoid travel on intercity roads in the four-kilometer border zone.
The missiles were fired two days after Hezbollah vowed to attack Israel following an alleged Israeli attack on a facility in Beirut on August 25th. A report by Kuwait's Al Rai claimed that Hezbollah planned to strike Israeli targets within 72 hours,
beginning last Friday.

She is the US Attorney involved in three Deep State Mueller related cases where the government is withholding or withheld evidence from the defense.
Ms. Liu is involved in three cases where pertinent documents were withheld from the defense -
Via Rosie Memos.
What do all of the f**ked up cases have in common?
They all hide evidence and they're all lead by Jessie K. Liu.
Ms. Liu also was involved in the James Wolfe case where he was indicted for leaking a FISA application to the New York Times -.
Now it looks like Liu is involved in the McCabe case and will determine whether to bring charges against former corrupt FBI Director Andy McCabe.
If Liu is involved it is doubtful that McCabe will be indicted for any of his many crimes!
In 2017 Liu was nominated by President Trump to become the next US Attorney in Washington D.C. She took over that position a few months later.

Third,
while the Chinese people may have enjoyed having more liberties,
they are more concerned with a healthy economy.
Since more and more Chinese have more and more money,
they don't mind the crackdowns on their liberties,
which include greater monitoring of their day-to-day lives.
But the government is now regulating what days certain factories can run and having more say about certain cars on the road,
which is leading to less pollution and more blue skies.
Simply stated,
as the people have more money in their pockets and more blue skies over their heads,
they are all the more supportive of President Xi. In fact,
my friend felt that if China went to war,
people would enlist in the army en masse.
Fourth,
my friends believe that China is increasingly becoming the antagonist in the world today,
and they stated plainly that someone needed to stand up to China's aggression.
Trump is standing up to China when it comes to trade,
and it appears he has no intention of backing down.
The reality is that a very powerful,
very dangerous China is rising on our watch,
one that is capable of destroying many millions of lives.
