A
black professor at Harvard University reveals some interesting finding
resulting from a study he conducted. Blacks in general, Black Lives
Matter adherents and white apologists in specific need to consider these
findings. He expected a different outcome than what he found. Quote:
"The study was commissioned by Harvard economics professor Roland G.
Fryer, Jr. – who happens to be black – after seeing officer-involved
shootings of other black men, notably Freddie Gray and Michael Brown. As
he told the Times: “You know, protesting is not my thing. But
data is my thing.” His study surveyed 1,332 police shootings involving
ten large police departments in the top three states by population –
California, Texas, and Florida. The study spanned shootings from the
years 2000 to 2015. Fryer and his student researchers spent over 3,000
hours compiling data from police reports." http://eaglerising.com/35082/blacklivesmatter-is-not-going-to-like-this-new-harvard-study-about-police-shootings/
Making
a rush to judgment usually ends up being wrong. In the current
environment of racial tensions it is a dangerous thing to do since
incorrect and uninformed claims routinely incites unhealthy and
misguided emotions on both sides of the issue. This is something Obama
routinely does when it promotes his political interests. This piece
attempts to bring clarity to the subject. Quote: "Philando Castile:
Obama and Media Continue Hyping Latest Black Shot by Cops." And,
"Anyone carrying a firearm, regardless of their race, better know how
to carefully bring up the presence of such during an encounter with law
enforcement. Until Yanez’s reason for not performing a felony stop is
revealed, and hopefully it is also discovered whether or not Castile
robbed the convenience store, it is too premature to make judgments. But
the one thing reasonable minds can agree on, this was not about police
racism — unless you want to start off a race war between blacks and
Hispanics." And, "Predictably, Obama fanned the flames, calling on the
U.S. to "do better" and said that controversial incidents arising from
the police use of force were "not isolated incidents" but rather were
"symptomatic of a broader set of racial disparities that exist in our
criminal justice system.” He continued, "When incidents like this occur,
there's a big chunk of our citizenry that feels as if, because of the
color of their skin, they are not being treated the same, and that
hurts, and that should trouble all of us.” As I’ve written previously,
Obama is responsible for much of the rise of Black Lives Matter. He
could have used his influence as the first black president to show that
race relations have gotten better, but instead he has chosen to label
incidents as racist before all the facts are in, in order to increase
Democrats." http://townhall.com/columnists/rachelalexander/2016/07/18/philando-castile-obama-and-media-continue-hyping-latest-black-shot-by-cops-n2193966?
I hope you read the email slain Hispanic policeman Montrel Jackson sent
3 days prior to his murder. His comments hit home. I pray for his
family and all those impacted by these thoughtless, careless,
irresponsible, hateful and criminal acts. It would be nice if Obama
could be as honest as that slain police officer instead of playing to
his political agenda over and over again.
This
is pure unadulterated pandering. Do you think this women is helping or
hurting the cause of promoting positive race relations? Quote: "On
Monday, Hillary Clinton descended on the National Association for the
Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) to pander to black Americans by
bashing the police while telling black folks that every complaint they
ever had about the cops is fully justified. Hillary’s ham-handed
approach to pandering has been well-established: whether she’s painting
herself as a Hispanic abuela or Tweeting in fluent Spanish or pretending she carries around hot sauce to pander to black radio hosts, Hillary’s pandering is obvious and mechanical." http://www.dailywire.com/news/7567/11-horrible-things-hillary-said-naacp-about-cops-ben-shapiro?
Her words fuel the flames of hatred and in no way can be considered
helpful to improving the current volatile racial atmosphere. She is no
more presidential on this issue than Obama. It does, however, help her
in her quest to get black votes.
Stoking the racial divide is anti-American no matter the race. There are plenty of great common sense black Americans who hate that nonsense. Here are thoughts from a few of them. Why can't we embrace them and their thoughts rather than succumb to the destructive hatred of race agitators?
This black man says "We Must Stop Surrendering to Leftist Evil Such as Black Lives Matter." He is absolutely right. Common sense says so. Quote: "For example: Liberal media, the White House and Democrat talking heads are promoting Black Lives Matter's lie that cops are racist and routinely murder blacks. Nothing could be further from the truth. Cops have saved tens of thousands of minority lives since the mid-1990s. Stats prove that 93% of blacks are killed by blacks. And yet, the Left is hell-bent on intimidating us into making the Black Lives Matter lie our reality." And, "I am in the process of organizing/producing a Blue Lives Matter rally. My goal is to spread the truth about our police and unify Americans. I envision a black choir singing; blacks on stage sharing their positive encounters with police. A woman I approached to be on my production team said she loves the idea, but feared Black Lives Matter will be angry and cause trouble; possibly violence. This is the intimidation that I am sick of. I told her we cannot allow evil people to stop us from doing what we know is the right thing to do. I assured her that we will invite lots of cops and hire security. After we select the venue, date, and acquire sponsors for the rally, I will promote it." http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/07/we_must_stop_surrendering_to_leftist_evil_such_as_black_lives_matter.html
This brilliant and honorable black man lays out his view of the blame
for the racial mess and how to fix it. Quote: "President Barack Obama
and his first attorney general, Eric Holder, called for an honest
conversation about race. Holder even called us “a nation of cowards”
because we were unwilling to have a “national conversation” about race.
The truth of the matter is there’s been more than a half-century of
conversations about race. We do not need more. Instead, black people
need to have frank conversations among ourselves, no matter how
uncomfortable and embarrassing the topics may be. Among the nation’s
most dangerous cities are Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis, Baltimore,
Memphis, Milwaukee, Birmingham, Newark, Cleveland and Philadelphia.
These once-thriving cities are in steep decline. What these cities have
in common is that they have large black populations. Also, they have
been run by Democrats for nearly a half-century, with blacks having
significant political power. Other characteristics these cities share
are poorly performing and unsafe schools, poor-quality city services,
and declining populations." And, "Black
people have the capacity to run the criminals out of their
neighborhoods. Let me put the issue another way. Suppose it were the Ku
Klux Klan riding through black neighborhoods murdering 7,000 blacks year
after year. How many black people would be willing to wait for the
Klansmen to behave themselves or accept political promises and wait for a
government program?" https://www.lewrockwell.com/2016/07/walter-e-williams/challenge-black-people/
Here is part II of Walter Williams' discussion of challenges for black
people. Quote: He ends this piece thusly, "The bottom line is that
only black people can solve our problems." http://townhall.com/columnists/walterewilliams/2016/07/20/challenges-for-black-people-part-ii-n2194173?
Walter Williams has long been one of my favorite commentators. His
writings are well written, filled with verifiable information and
contain an abundance of common sense.
Read
this piece by a black woman who challenges the leftist Florida teachers
union and NAACP for fighting against school choice for poor children,
including blacks. She is 100% right and they are 100% wrong. Quote:
"According to the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice, the
Florida Tax Credit Scholarship program has grown from a 15,585 children
participating in 2003, to 78,353 participating in 2015-16. The average
value of each scholarship in 2015-16 was $5,367. According to "Step Up
for Students," in the 2013-14 school year, 24 percent of participating
students were white, 32 percent black, 37 percent Hispanic and 7 percent
others. Of the schools participating, 71 percent were religious schools
and 29 percent nonreligious. The civil rights movement was once about
the courage to stand up against an unjust status quo and to fight to
make a better world. The NAACP was part of that. Today the NAACP is
part of the status quo and, despite its rhetoric, now fights to protect
special interests. As we see now in Florida, it is the black church and
its pastors that now bear the mantle for courageous leadership and the
change that black Americans so badly need." http://townhall.com/columnists/starparker/2016/07/20/the-new-christian-black-leadership-n2194804?
