The once-classified chapter from a congressional report on the 9/11 attacks released today by the government confirm revelations released by Judicial Watch in February 2014 concerning the terrorist ties of Saudi Arabian citizen Omar Al-Bayoumi. Judicial Watch obtained the information in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed against the U.S. Department of State and FBI on June 4, 2012.
According to the congressional report released today, “The FBI has received numerous reports from individuals in the Muslim community, dating back to 1999, alleging that al-Bayoumi may be a Saudi intelligence office. FBI files suggest that al-Bayoumi provided substantial assistance to hijackers Khalid al-Mihdar and Nawaf al-Hamzi after they arrived in San Diego in February 2000.” [Report, Page 416]
