Are The Mainstream News Priorities The Same As Ours?

Many times I have mentioned the almost uselessness, even irrelevance, of much of the mainstream media's on air reporting for anyone wanting factual and relevant news.  For a number of years now facts and relevance are far less important to them than promoting an agenda or engaging in outright propaganda. The media seeks to control the information people get by what they report, how they report it and how much coverage, if any, they give it.  They often highlight trivial issues (Hollywood celebrity news, high profile court cases they hype, British royalty, etc.) that consume valuable reporting time on radio and television and print media. And, they either ignore or limit coverage of newsworthy items vital to an informed public but which do not fit within or detract from their leftist/progressive agenda.  Here is an example.
