The Legacy of the Roberts Court

Chief Justice John Roberts is focused on his legacy; however, his court is viewed as increasingly unconstitutional. The Roberts Court is known for applying double standards regarding due process and free speech, interfering with presidential powers, and influencing political campaign financing.

1. Due Process and Free Speech:

• In June 2024, the Roberts Court intervened in the January 6 cases, claiming some defendants were wrongly charged, while those defendants had been held for years without adequate support from the Supreme Court.

• The court quickly issued a temporary restraining order against the deportation of illegal immigrants, arguing their rights were violated. Critics assert the court cannot dictate presidential actions on national security.

2. Judicial Activism:

• The Court's decisions have encouraged judges to block presidential actions, undermining the enforcement of laws. An example includes a judge who obstructed the return of gang members and faced calls for impeachment.

• There is a concern about the number of activist judges affecting national security and undermining the president’s authority.

3. Lawfare Against Trump:

• The Biden administration engaged in "lawfare," using legal means to hinder former President Donald Trump’s campaign for a second term.

• The Supreme Court delayed intervention in various cases but eventually sided with Trump as these cases fell apart.

4. Campaign Financing:

• Roberts has allowed unlimited corporate spending on political campaigns by declaring limits on funding as violations of First Amendment rights.

• This has led to significant influence from wealthy individuals and corporations in elections, altering the political landscape.

5. Impact on Immigration and Security:

• The Supreme Court has supported Biden’s open border policies, creating a contrast in their swift intervention to block Trump’s deportation efforts, despite past administrations successfully deporting millions without issues.

The Roberts Court is characterized as an entity influenced by globalist interests, contributing to the decline of U. S. sovereignty and well-being. The court’s policies have affected fiscal and social stability, leaving Chief Justice Roberts with a contentious legacy of judicial activism and political interference.
