The reality is that the WHO, under Dr. Tedros' leadership, has become increasingly politicized and ineffective. Its response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been marred by inconsistency and a shocking lack of transparency. The WHO can and must do better. It's time, Dr. Tedros, to step aside and let someone with a realistic, pragmatic, and collaborative vision take the helm. The world deserves a WHO that is focused on health, not politics.
