Things Worthey of Consideration 1

This is something many of us recognize but this piece does a good job of making the case that real intellectuals are found on the side of Conservatism, not on the political left. This piece explains.  Quote: "You may have noticed that conservatives are blessed with an impressive lineup of intellectual heavyweights. Liberals have none, literally none. A few of those on the conservative side are Thomas Sowell, Victor Davis Hanson, Dennis Prager, Shelby Steele, Jordon Peterson, and Mark Levin."  And,  "You cannot name a single liberal who has anything approaching the above credentials or intellectual output. Why? There are a number of reasons. Liberalism is fundamentally about feelings rather than thoughts. Also the left focuses on intentions, the right focuses on results and the ways by which results are achieved. An advantage of making intentions your goal is that once you choose and announce them, you’re done. No need to follow up to see if your intentions were realized. No need to consider second or third order effects. Leftism is about force, conservatism is about freedom and voluntary exchange. The use of force needs no theory or ideology. Anyone willing to rely on force to accomplish his or her objectives doesn’t really need to understand how the world works."  And,  "The foremost source of the left’s intellectual poverty is arrogance. Arrogance kills curiosity. Those on the left feel they already know all they need to know. They have nothing left to learn or to bother thinking deeply about. Ironically, they feel intellectually superior to conservatives. A prerequisite for being a serious thinker is curiosity. It requires being curious about how things work — society, the economy, human nature, for example. Curiosity is the incentive for doing the hard work of study and serious thought. The left also feels morally superior to any of our predecessors. Conservatives, on the other hand, possess a deep respect and reverence for the wisdom we’ve inherited from, for example, the Greeks, the Bible, Shakespeare, and the Founding Fathers. Isaac Newton famously said, “If I have seen further than others, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” Even Newton needed to know what those preceding him had discovered. On the left there’s no gratitude for the wisdom endowed to us by our forebears. Rather than gratitude there’s disdain, another reflection of their arrogance. The opposite of arrogance is humility. As Isaac Newton also recognized, “What we know is a drop, what we don’t know is an ocean.”  And,  "As long as the left holds on to its arrogance it will never match the richness of the right’s intellectual offerings. It’s another reason why being a conservative is a whole lot more fun than being a liberal."   https://spectator.org/intellectual-poverty-on-the-left/

This item reveals that the, "...Deep State Has Left ‘Paper Trail As Wide As Interstate-95’ Which Will ‘Fall All Over DC Like Radioactive Ash.’"   And,  "News of Trump’s order to declassify all documents relating to the targeting of his presidential campaign by members of the Obama administration intelligence community has reverberated throughout Washington and beyond since Thursday night. The same Democrats who are demanding that Trump release his business records and tax returns because he “may have” broken the law are panicking over this directive. Rep. Adam Schiff, who has built his reputation on his hatred for Donald Trump, tells reporters it’s “un-American” and of course, he’s worried about revealing “sources and methods.” For nearly three years, Democrats and the media have persecuted this President, yet they’ve never been able to point to a particular crime. They’ve called for his impeachment, yet offer no specifics. Up until now, general accusations have worked very well for them."  And,  "Recently, Attorney General William Barr announced his appointment of U.S. Attorney John Durham to open an investigation into the origins of the Trump/Russia probe, DOJ IG Michael Horowitz has been examining the FBI’s FISA Court application and related activities since March 2018 and his report is expected soon. And, so they say, that elusive man of mystery Utah U.S. Attorney John Huber, began an investigation into Obama-era FBI/DOJ abuses of power in March 2018. The tide has most definitely turned. After the unending outrages of the last three years, this will be fun to watch."    https://www.redstate.com/elizabeth-vaughn/2019/05/25/deep-state-left-paper-trail-wide-interstate-95-will-fall-dc-like-radioactive-ash/?   That this paper trail is so massive it is quite clear they thought Hillary would win and the would get away with their huge number of criminal acts.

Since AG Barr has come aboard corrupt former FBI officials (and others) are all frantically trying to cover their rear ends by pointing fingers elsewhere. Quote: "Since Attorney General William Barr announced he intends to dig deeper into the genesis of the Russiagate affair, things are getting frantic in Washington. Desperate to avoid federal prison, the main players in the FBI attempted coup of the presidency can’t seem to find enough air time to defend their innocence or point a finger at each other. Former FBI general counsel James Baker is a good case in point. Baker tried to deflect the blame from himself last Friday when he went on Chuck Todd’s MSNBC show, but ultimately admitted the “verified application” for spying on Donald Trump in 2016 went forward although it was not verified at all. The Daily Caller reported last week that Baker was skeptical and “concerned” about the validity of the accusations made in the Steele dossier. Despite those concerns, Baker along with other FBI officials who reviewed the Carter Page surveillance warrant application did not stop but proceeded with their application for a FISA warrant."  And,  "Baker protested that since Steele had previously been “a source that we thought was reliable” and his information was “alarming” the FBI took it “seriously.” Baker further defended himself saying “we tried to vet it.” Nothing could be further from the truth as Steele has since admitted he didn’t verify the information himself before passing it long to the Bureau. Though Steele first provided his bogus information for the Trump investigation on July 5, 2016, it supposedly didn’t make its way to the FBI team investigating Trump until mid-September 2016. By then Baker and the rest of the FBI team were aware Steele was funded by and working for the Democrat campaign. The bureau counsel also knew that Steele had told a Justice Department official he was “desperate” to see Trump defeated in the 2016 election."  And,  "As the top Justice Department official that handled FISA before joining the FBI, Baker had to know hiding where their information came from from a FISA judge was highly irresponsible if not criminal. He testified before Congress that his review for the Carter Page application was unusual because he “rarely reviewed FISA applications” in his FBI position."    https://www.americanlibertyreport.com/articles/fbi-lawyer-james-baker-lied-about-verified-application-for-fisa-warrant-against-trump-campaign/
This item has an apt title:  "Federal Rats Are Fleeing the Sinking Collusion Ship."  Quote: "So, how can we tell that the former accusers are now terrified of becoming the accused? Because suddenly the usual band of former Obama officials and Trump accusers have largely given up on their allegations that Trump was or is a Russian asset. Instead, John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey, Andrew McCabe and Rod Rosenstein are now beginning to accuse each other of wrongdoing. Even their progressive media handlers are starting to sense the desperation in their new yarns -- and the possibility that these hired-gun analysts or guests were themselves guilty of crimes and were using their media platforms to fashion their own defense. The end of the Mueller melodrama has marked the beginning of real fear in Washington."  See the details.   https://townhall.com/columnists/victordavishanson/2019/05/23/federal-rats-are-fleeing-the-sinking-collusion-ship-n2546735?

This Democrat senator is a total 100% reprobate.  According to him he and his fellow Democrats can investigate Trump all they want because they "just know" he is guilty of something.  They just don't know what.  But he has the audacity to call the Barr investigation "un-American" for looking into the origins of the biggest fraud in American history sponsored by Democrats against a president and we the people."  Either he is a complete idiot or totally delusional partisan political operator if he does not understand all the facts currently known of massive criminal activity were actually conducted by left wing political operatives working for the Obama administration. Nah, he is simply a hard core left wing delusional Democrat idiot and a total reprobate. Quote: "California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff called Attorney General William Barr’s investigation into the origins of the Russia probe “un-American” in a Thursday night tweet. “While Trump stonewalls the public from learning the truth about his obstruction of justice, Trump and Barr conspire to weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies,” Schiff wrote. “The coverup has entered a new and dangerous phase. This is un-American.”    https://dailycaller.com/2019/05/23/schiff-barr-investigation-russia-probe-un-american/    He has been on the left wing's front lines going after Trump ever since he was elected to office.  He may even get targeted in the round-up of those involved in the un-American" treasonous acts seeking Trump's destruction.  This is an example of just how low the Democrats have fallen as he and they falsely charge Barr with doing exactly what Obama and his minions actually did...  This man is supposedly a graduate of Harvard Law School.  I am really perplexed and amazed by his completely dysfunctional behavior.
