In May 2021, Acting FDA Commissioner Emailed Fauci With Concerns About COVID Vaccine Injuries, Said ‘No One Takes Them Seriously’

In May 2021, Janet Woodcock, the Acting Commissioner of the FDA, expressed serious concerns to Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins regarding adverse events tied to COVID-19 vaccinations. This exchange highlighted fears that federal health officials were not adequately addressing early signs of vaccine-related injuries.

Woodcock reported hearing from many healthcare professionals about unusual and difficult-to-classify adverse events following COVID vaccination. She noted these issues were not being recorded by monitoring systems like VAERS.

She identified that all three vaccines—Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson—were associated with these injuries, stating, “no one takes them seriously” and lamenting the lack of treatment options or studies on these symptoms.

Woodcock suggested conducting a study on these vaccine injuries but was uncertain if the pharmaceutical industry would support such research.

By the end of May 2021, there were over 440,000 adverse events and around 8,650 deaths reported globally in connection with COVID vaccinations, with many deaths occurring shortly after injection.

The FDA's use of a contractor for inputting VAERS reports led to a significant underreporting of safety signals, as the reported events far exceeded the worst-case scenario predicted by the contractor.

Concerns were also raised about the potential risk of miscarriage related to mRNA vaccines in early pregnancy, which were discussed among health officials.

The correspondence brought attention to the lack of transparency and public alerts regarding vaccine safety issues.

The emails suggest that there were significant safety concerns about COVID-19 vaccines that were not openly addressed by federal health officials. Notably, this led to questions regarding informed consent for the public concerning vaccination risks. Senators Ron Johnson and Rand Paul are calling for further investigation into why these concerns were not communicated more effectively and how decisions on vaccine promotion were made despite these warnings.
