Federal Arrests Begin for California Election Fraud

A federal crackdown on election fraud has begun in California, led by Bill Essayli, the first assistant U.S. attorney for the Central District of California. This effort aims to address significant issues within the state's voting system.

Bill Essayli has made his first arrest, targeting a Honduran national, Darwin Jonathan Rivera Flores, who unlawfully registered to vote and falsely claimed U.S. citizenship. Flores is facing multiple felony charges.

Essayli noted that California's voter registration process is easily exploited by noncitizens, with minimal screening for citizenship.

The state accepts various forms of identification for voting, some of which are accessible to illegal aliens, leading to concerns that noncitizen registrations dilute lawful citizens' votes.

Essayli has criticized California's Attorney General, Rob Bonta, for allegedly obstructing federal audits to verify voter registration data and for maintaining noncitizens on voter rolls.

There are ongoing issues of mass ballot harvesting, especially in Los Angeles, where tactics are reportedly employed to influence voting among vulnerable populations.

The arrests signify the beginning of a broader initiative to address election fraud in California, with more arrests anticipated as the investigation continues. Essayli's commitment to cleaning up voter registration issues in the state has sparked considerable political contention, particularly among California Democrats.
