Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States have been on their guard ever since the unprecedented leak of Justice Samuel Alito's opinion occurred during the court's deliberations on Roe v. Wade. Justice Alito said that the leak made the justices "targets for assassination."
The unrest even led to an assassination attempt against Kavanaugh
- Nicholas John Roske, 26, allegedly traveled from California to Maryland and showed up in Kavanaugh's neighborhood in the early morning hours of June 8 with a knife, pistol, ammunition, zip ties, pepper spray, duct tape, and other items.
- He allegedly told police he was intending to use the items to kill the Supreme Court justice.
On the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, activists chose to once again harass justices near their homes
- Protests outside the homes of the justices and threats to the justices themselves caused heavy security to be implemented around the SCOTUS, again an unprecedented action.
- Leftist activists demonstrated unimpeded at the home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh on Sunday evening, Daily Signal reported. The march appeared to be organized by the far-left group Our Rights DC.
