• On Monday evening, news broke that the White House will be announcing an end to the emergency footing of the federal government regarding the coronavirus
• The end date is being set on May 11th, 2021
• Who knew that The Science™ could pinpoint the end of a years-long pandemic three and a half months into the future?
• Of course, there's no actual science behind this decision. It is purely a political ploy

Another possibility: pushing the end of the pandemic off until May allows Biden to coincide it with the probable launch of his 2024 reelection campaign.
