On today's show, Democrat House Intelligence Chair Adam Schiff was criticized for not telling the truth when Sam Stein asked him on the show's September 17th episode whether his committee had spoken with the whistleblower.
The whistleblower had contacted the committee, and they spoke.
Stein went on to downplay the significance of Schiff's untruth, saying that the substance of the whistleblower complaint is more important than the process by which it was made public.
He said at the time when he was saying that, obviously we now know that the whistleblower had approached his staff, but there wasn't 100% certainty that the whistleblower who when approached his staff was the same one behind the actual complaint.
SAM STEIN : Congressman, a couple questions here on this whistleblower front.
ADAM SCHIFF: We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower.
