House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said in a new interview that she is "Very confident" her party will take back a majority in the House of Representatives and she isn't even considering the possibility of not running for speaker.
In an interview with the Boston Globe released Tuesday, Pelosi guaranteed Democrats will take back the House in the 2018 midterm elections and that she would seek the speakership again.
"We will win. I will run for speaker," Pelosi said.
Pelosi was pushed on the possibility of remaining in the minority, and she said she had "Made a decision" to win.
"No, no, no, I can't even think about that," Pelosi said.
On the possibility of remaining in the minority, Pelosi would only say, "If we don't win, you cross that bridge when you come to it."
Pelosi has been under fire in the past by members of her own party for not being able to take back control of the House since Republicans won in a massive wave in 2010.
