As a former federal employee I strongly support the measures Trump took to reform the civil service and strongly disagree with the response of the federal union which has long obstructed cleaning up the mess of underperforming employees and their abuse by being overly protective of poor performers and permissive of those who abuse the system and get away with misconduct. Add this to the improvement in our nation's financial stability since Trump took the reins from Obama.  Think about this.  The Democrats have indicated they will undo the tax cuts when they get control of Congress in the upcoming elections.
