About GMO's

As I have noted in previous items current day scientific efforts are being corrupted by money and government.  This item extends that assessment to include corporate greed, consequential contamination of soils and control over farmers seed choices.  Quote: Historically farmers harvested their own seeds and used then for the following years crops.  However, to offer a quote, "Under corporate farming, the exact opposite is true. This should give those who consider GMO's to be safe because scientist say so reason to pause and reflect. Here are five cogent quotes: "By training, I am a plant biologist. Regarding research of pesticides and the like, Monsanto has an interesting approach to a problem with which they have admitted culpability.  Round-up has been linked to the rapidly declining bee population.  Given bees importance to our food supply Monsanto has come up with a solution. Engineer a replacement for the bees.  Quote: "So, once again, we are seeing proof of Monsanto's endgame, complete corporate control of our food supply. I leave it to you to decide your position on the matter.  I think the side I come down on has rationale far more powerful than supporting huge agribusiness over potential human health problems, environmental contamination with products such as Round-up causing a dramatic rise in super weeds requiring the use of ever more powerful chemicals, destroying beneficial insects such as honey bees, protecting agribusiness's attempt to gain a monopoly of food supplies by patenting seeds which increase farmer costs and reduce availability, engaging in unfair competition with small family farms and organic farming enterprises, and more.  Ask yourself why is it they are working so hard to deny us access to what they are doing to the food we eat and the damage they are doing to farmers and the environment?  GMO labeling should not be an issue but their position not to label should concern everyone...what are they hiding.  I reject their "trust us we do good" motives when it is obvious they seek to improve their bottom line using tactics that are anti-competitive, secretive and unethical, all at our expense.  Finally, it is no wonder that they are fighting lawsuit after lawsuit and consumer resistance around the globe, buying both pro-GMO advertising and political support, spending billions of dollars doing so.  Seems to me that this is just another crony capitalism enterprise using government assistance to gain monopolistic control of the food business in anticipation of future mega profits.

Bernanke: More execs should have gone to jail

 Why has it taken so long for Mr Bernake to speak out on this?

This season, Ben Bernanke was able to sit through an entire Nationals game.
During the financial meltdown in 2008, the then-chairman of the Federal Reserve would buy a lemonade and head to his seats two rows back from the Washington Nationals dugout, a respite from crisis. But often he would find himself huddling in the quiet of the stadium's first-aid station or an empty stairwell for consultations on his BlackBerry about whatever economic catastrophe was looming.
"I think there was a reasonably good chance that, barring stabilization of the financial system, that we could have gone into a 1930s-style depression," he says now in an interview with USA TODAY. "The panic that hit us was enormous — I think the worst in U.S. history."
With publication of his memoir, The Courage to Act, on Tuesday by W.W. Norton & Co., Bernanke has some thoughts about what went right and what went wrong. For one thing, he says that more corporate executives should have gone to jail for their misdeeds. The Justice Department and other law-enforcement agencies focused on indicting or threatening to indict financial firms, he notes, "but it would have been my preference to have more investigation of individual action, since obviously everything what went wrong or was illegal was done by some individual, not by an abstract firm."

By now everyone knows about the EPA polluted the Animas River in Colorado with over 3 million gallons of heavy-metal laden waste water.  Remember the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico?  Obama was mad as a hornet and went hard after the culprits.  This spill belongs to him but his mouth is glued shut.  Get this.  A geologists predicted there would be a spill just one week prior...uhmm!  Quote: "The simple fact of the matter is because the Obama administration was implicated in this they’re going to remain silent.

For a short history of Agenda 21 read this link.  http://www.postsustainabilityinstitute.org/what-is-un-agenda-21.html   Agenda 21 has not progressed as fast as those in charge want.  But it is insidious in its approach and the movement marches on.  Rest assured that this is not a conspiracy theory.  Anyone who searches will find examples of its sustainability implementations at local, state and federal levels.  Government direction and control is at the heart of all initatives. Some efforts are small, others not so small.  Agenda 2030 is intended to reboot efforts and re-energize Agenda 21 which has been met with an increasing amount of resistance led by organizations such as The American Policy Center.  The overall problem with Agenda 2030 is that it is in reality a utopian pipe dream and unlikely to ever succeed and certainly not without the social and economic chaos which likely accompany efforts to implement.  It is impossible to create conditions where people of all cultural/ethnic differences around the globe will agree to stated goals and implementation procedures.  To think this will occur without oppressive measures is fantasy.  In other words the only way this could ever occur is if those in charge were all powerful and could control and impose their will on diverse masses.  And, the whole idea is in any case socialistic.  Can anyone point me to a "totally socialistic experiment" that ever succeeded over the long haul?  Socialism only works for the socialist elites, not the masses under their control.

Some Ramdom Thoughts Worthy Of Consideration

Sometimes we need to step out of the hustle and bustle of our daily lives and see what is going on in our neighborhood, our state, our country, our world.  Anyone who does is sure to be struck by the dysfunction that is so rampant.  It is incumbent upon each of us to assess who and what is to blame.  An honest assessment will reveal the primary sources.  Although you will see my bias I leave it to you to identify who and what groups are primarily at fault.  In any case not saying or doing anything about the problems so obvious is unacceptable.  We are all in this together and must do our part to change the narrative from what it now is to one filled with openness, decency, honesty and respect.  The incompetence, irresponsible, self serving and self righteous arrogance of so many of our elected officials in government regardless of political affiliation and their supporting acolytes across a broad spectrum of society are in need of replacement by those who respect the law, the Constitution, our history, culture and social and religious traditions.  We all need to do our part.  Otherwise the country we bequeath our progeny will be nothing like what we have been fortunate enough to have.  As always read the intros to locate items of interest.

Another example of this came from Washington last week. Obama greeted Pope Francis at the White House. The president invited transgender, gay and abortion activists to greet the pope. This put the pontiff in a difficult political situation to which the Vatican objected."   And, "After the pope's visit comes the Chinese Premier, who has increasingly oppressed Christians in China and oversaw major computer hacking against the United States. It should be obvious to anyone paying attention that liberals disobey laws they do not like and get away with it.  President Obama, former Attorney General Holder, Governor Jerry Brown, Hillary Clinton and Al Sharpton to name a few heavy hitters who have violated multiple laws and have as of this note paid no price for their lawlessness.  Lowly Democrat Kim Davis on the other hand was jailed for her principles by a progressive Judge.  Her crime?  Disobeying a court opinion for which no law passed by a legislature exists.  One needs to remember that the only branch of government authorized by the Constitution to make laws is the Legislative branch. The so called laws enacted by the president and courts across the land are in fact unconstitutional.  But no matter it is the heavy hitter liberals who are in charge and it is they who make the rules and routinely break legitimate laws and, unlike Ms. Davis, without suffering the consequences.  Quote: "We are in an ideological conflict with liberals who are at heart monarchists or oligarchists.  Liberals reject the rule of law because they believe that they are right and that we should all be forced to live as liberals wish us to live.
