Big Tech’s Power Grab Buried in the NDAA

Big Tech’s lobbyists are back—and this time, they’re hiding a ticking time bomb inside the National Defense Authorization Act.

We stopped the 10-year AI moratorium once. The Senate voted 99-1 to remove it from the Big Beautiful Bill, thanks to the pressure exerted by you and other conservative activists. But now, Big Tech allies in Congress are attempting to sneak the same disastrous provision back in, buried deep within the NDAA.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t just a policy fight—it’s a battle for our jobs, children, speech, and sovereignty.

If this AI moratorium passes:

  • States and local governments will be banned from regulating AI for 10 years
  • Big Tech monopolists like Google and Meta get a blank check to experiment on Americans with no accountability
  • Our kids, workers, and creators will be defenseless

This provision is a direct assault on states' rights and federalism. Even 40 state attorneys general—Republicans and Democrats—are sounding the alarm. Why? The federal government has no plan to regulate AI but wants to prevent anyone else from stepping up.

At the Article III Project, we believe the Constitution doesn’t give unelected bureaucrats or Silicon Valley billionaires the right to rule us. And we sure won’t let them sneak a decade of amnesty into a defense bill.

This is why we fight. And we need your support to fight back now.

A3P is launching a full-scale campaign to keep this dangerous Big Tech carveout out of the NDAA. We’re mobilizing grassroots pressure, exposing the sellouts in Congress, and defending the states that are trying to protect their citizens.

If Congress won’t regulate AI, the least they can do is get out of the way and let the states do their job.

We’re drawing the line. If you’re with us, chip in now >>
