2. As the Chicago police are investigating Smollett for staging the attack Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx has recused herself from the case.
3. But as Harris indicated she knows both Smollett and Foxx well and if there is some connection that would be a good reason for Foxx to recuse herself.
