Porn star Stormy Daniels is back in the news about her alleged "Intimate" relationship with Donald Trump years ago after filing a lawsuit on Tuesday that in part accuses Trump's attorney Michael Cohen of attempting to "Intimidate" and "Shut her up" through a "Bogus" arbitration hearing.
Trump's legal team says that it's simply enforcing what's there in black and white in the NDA Daniels signed.
On Tuesday, Daniels filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles court alleging that the NDA is invalid because Trump never signed it and accusing Team Trump of unfairly trying to "Intimidate" her through "Surreptitiously" filing a restraining order against her on Feb. 27.
"To be clear, the attempts to intimidate Ms. Clifford into silence and 'shut her up' in order to 'protect Mr. Trump' continue unabated," Daniels suit states.
Cohen sent the restraining order to Daniels' attorney the next day and specified in an email that the judge ordered that the order must remain confidential per the NDA. But Daniels' team released the order to the media anyhow.
"The designated judge from the arbitration tribunal found that Ms. Clifford had violated the agreement and enjoined her from, among other things, filing this lawsuit," Rosen said in the statement to NBC. Daniels has been making the media rounds over the last year, including an infamous appearance with Jimmy Kimmel, before which she suggested that she would reveal some tantalizing information, but ended up throwing cold water on the appearance just hours before by again reiterating her public denial that anything happened between her and Trump.
"Over the past few weeks I have been asked countless times to comment on reports of an alleged sexual relationship I had with Donald Trump many, many, many years ago," Daniels said in a statement.
