Our progressive national leadership has and continues to forge a relationship with the UN in defiance of our nation's Constitution.  This has been an ongoing trend for the past 50 years.  I defy anyone to show me where in the Constitution it says that an entity such as the UN has any role whatsoever in our nation's internal affairs, much less our electoral process.  What basis does the UN have to even think about doing so?  Not a single member of the UN was "elected" by the people of their country to serve in that institution - which by many accounts is corrupt and with few exceptions a gross failure.  The fact is that the UN has overseen and maybe even contributed to many, many international elections that were fraudulent.   And, they are making noises about the need to put its nose into our business?  What hubris1  That should be a loud "no go" for every American citizen.  http://www.teaparty.org/tennessee-wants-ban-u-n-monitoring-elections-38957/
