A Portland Antifa militant, Ginovanni Joseph Brumbelow, 21, was convicted of felony assault against a federal officer. He pleaded guilty to striking a Border Patrol agent with a wooden stake during a riot outside an ICE facility on June 14, 2025.
Brumbelow faces up to 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and three years of supervised release.
The attack occurred while he tried to disrupt the arrest of another rioter, as captured on video.
He has agreed to pay restitution to the victim as part of a plea deal.
This incident was part of violent demonstrations leading to over 30 charges related to crimes at the ICE facility.
Brumbelow’s sentencing is scheduled for October 19, and he is likely to be the third among several defendants to face jail time related to the riots.
