Sometimes, I just want to throw things. Word has it that as the Canadian Freedom Convoy raised upwards of $3 million on GoFundMe, the account was suddenly frozen. The reason: Honestly, what difference does it make?

Did anyone not see this coming?
People, if we are going to win this war, we have to start thinking (and acting) out of the box. The objective here is to raise funds for fuel and travel expenses; and NOT prove to ourselves that we can raise funds on GoFundMe.
It’s like trying to kick the football that Lucy is holding. Why our side even tries to use that platform is beyond me, but I digress. Let’s fix this issue with a different strategy.
Based on the ongoing operation, this should be an easy fix.
1. Truckers need truck stops. We’re better off directing the assistance to the next truck stop. As the trucks are on the move, a trucker radios in that they are going for a fuel/pit stop to whoever is coordinating the convoy (I assume it's being broken down by Canadian provinces.
2. Setup an “Adopt-a-Trucker” program, where supporters agree to commit to part of all of the pit-stop for a trucker.
3. At that point word goes out to either everyone OR, a person that has agreed to sponsor a fill up for one truck. The money can be sent directly to the truck stop via Western Union or other money transfer service. The cash transfers can also be used for meals and lodging.
4. Another option is overnight delivery of gas card – directly to the targeted truck stop.
5. If the government tries to stop the money transfer service, the truck is grounded right there until the cash flow resumes. The last thing the Canadian or any government needs is truck stops full of idle truckers.
6. And if it isn’t obvious, this is an easy way for U.S. residents to support the Canadian truckers. This takes whatever online funding source OUT of the equation. Money goes directly from the supporters to the truckers who need it – immediately. The advantage here is that truckers have their own decentralized communication network outside of the internet. They can use that to their advantage. They have many supporters who can and should network on their own to coordinate funding at truck stop locations. By the way, truck stops are the best place to recruit more truckers.
Comments are welcome. Minor details can be worked out. If you made a GoFundMe donation, just demand a refund. But please get this message to anyone you know working with the convoy.
