About Socialism's insidious creeping into our culture and politics.

This is shameful.  It is apparent that this three term progressive Democrat socialist senator has no idea what the job of the legislature is. He says out loud that the legislature is failing its job by not redistributing wealth.  Quote: "[Senate Majority Leader Mitch] McConnell and [President Donald Trump] have refused to raise the minimum wage; it’s been stuck for 11 years at under eight dollars,” Brown said. “They took away overtime for about two or three million Americans because of truncating the overtime rule, tax cuts for the rich and now tax cuts for Medicare.” Where Brown conceived this apparently manifest piece of knowledge, however, is incredibly unclear. And all the more unclear is where this three-term U.S. senator conceived the idea that is the “job” of the Congress to redistribute wealth in this country, either in a fair manner or at all. Perhaps my reading of the U.S. Constitution is wanting, but no matter how hard I squint, I cannot seem to find anywhere in the Article I establishment of the legislature a prescription for a federal body tasked with the termination or reduction of American wealth inequality." “We know Congress isn’t doing its job to redistribute income in any way that’s fair to hundreds of millions of Americans,” he added. “We know that.”  And,  "And though I have no great hatred for the concept — in fact, I would rather like to see our politicians and educators care that they leave the world a better place than they found it — it is no small thing that the belief has grown so strong as to be used as justification for the removal of limitations on the government’s place and power in our society. The fact that politicians like Brown would egg on such a shift in Americans’ understanding of the role of government is unsurprising, however. Those in the seats of power are the only ones who truly stand to gain anything from a government with such a tyrannically large role. They’re just hoping you’ll buy their pie-in-the-sky claims of economic equality and hand over the reins."   https://www.westernjournal.com/dem-senator-criticizes-congress-not-job-redistributing-income/?    Way too many Democrats routinely display their complete ignorance of the role of government and a gross misunderstanding of the difference between socialism and capitalism.  Nowhere in any document do you find the socialist doctrine of redistribution of wealth to be a function of government. Nowhere...

What a stupid man and boldfaced liar committed socialist Bernie Sanders is.  This item proves the point.  Quote: "Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) did an interview on CBS on Friday and he told some huge whoppers on which he didn’t get challenged. First the CBS host asked him about socialism, saying he, the reporter, knew that there was a difference between Democratic socialism and socialism. Yeah, there is, Democratic socialism is when you’re trying to make a bad idea sound better in order to be able to sell it, that’s the difference."  And here is Bernie's stupid lie.  "“Let me just tell you something, in my view, to a significant degree, we’re living right now under Donald Trump in a socialist society. The only difference is, does the government work for working people or does it work for billionaires? Donald Trump before he became president, was in real estate. He received $800 million in tax breaks and subsidies from the government. Socialism for the rich. The fossil fuel industry receives tens of billions of dollars per year in subsidies and tax breaks. Socialism for the rich.”  And,  "The reporter continued to press if the label was confusing people, to which Sanders said that he won the popular vote in Iowa and the primary in New Hampshire. “Working people understand that we have got to finically stand up to the corporate elite. And that we have to have a mass political movement of working people and low income people and young people to do that. I’m not worried about labels.” This is often the argument socialists make to smooth over anxiety of socialism, suggesting we’re there already along the path. No, tax breaks aren’t socialism, you actually have to work and make money to earn the tax breaks. That’s not owning/controlling the means of production, more the definition of socialism and redistributing wealth. Indeed, it’s perhaps the least socialist time in memory under President Donald Trump, where the economy had been largely freed to work to help raise all boats. But Sanders’ minions will believe this kind of bilge, because many don’t have the understanding of life or history to know they’re being sold a bill of goods. They don’t know in large part the evils of socialism because they’ve been sold a story about it in college, how it’s just about caring more about people than those evil Republicans or basic Democrats."   https://www.redstate.com/nick-arama/2020/02/14/bernie-claims-we-shouldnt-be-worried-about-socialism-under-him-because-we-already-have-it-under-trump/?  Not only is Bernie Sanders a boldfaced liar he is a totally committed socialist who embraces communist doctrine.  He is a very dangerous man and represents a serious threat to our country.

Speaking of socialism consider this brief tutorial.  Quote: "Since a leading contender for the Democratic presidential nomination has endorsed it, since most of his opponents have refused to denounce it, and since a majority of young people appear to approve of it, now is a good time to ask: what exactly is socialism?"  And,  "To this point, I have made no distinction between national socialism (fascism) and Marxist-type socialism (communism). The traditional political science literature tends to define the former as having private ownership with government control while the latter has both government ownership and control. The general rule is: the more government asserts its power in whatever way, the worse the economic deprivation and the worse the human rights atrocities. In the 20th century, an estimated 169 million people were killed by their own governments. It was genocide on an unimaginable scale. The vast majority of these victims were murdered by socialist governments. The Russian communists were the worst (62 million) followed by the Chinese communists (35 million) and then the Nazis (20 million). Although socialists claim that workers are exploited under capitalism, no greedy capitalist has ever begun to match what socialists have done. Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez lived like kings and accumulated vast fortunes while their own people often faced starvation. Kim Jong-un and the current rulers in Cuba and Venezuela are following in their footsteps."    https://townhall.com/columnists/johncgoodman/2020/02/15/what-is-socialism-n2561292?
