Although the author is British
and lives and works in England, what she has to say is just as
applicable to us here as it is there. Her remarks about the media (of
which she is a part) and the family unit are right on. Here is just one
quote to give you a taste of her commentary: "Our
cultural and political elites have simply turned truth and justice
inside out and, with argument replaced by insult and abuse, taken leave
of reality itself. They have destroyed rational discourse, polarised
opinion and thereby undermined the possibility of finding common
ground." George Burns
It's becoming increasingly difficult to discern fact from fiction, and unfortunately the media has a strong bias. They spin stories to make conservatives look bad and will go to great lengths to avoid reporting on the good that comes from conservative policies. There are a few shining lights in the media landscape-brave conservative outlets that report the truth and offer a different perspective. We must support conservative outlets like this one and ensure that our voices are heard.
