Obama Is 'President of Hype and Blame'

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus says Barack Obama has become “the president of hype and blame” and a “terrible failure” at creating jobs.

“When it comes to the issues that make this country great, and when it comes down to the question of whether or not people in this country can work hard, play by the rules, and live the American dream, I think this president’s been a terrible, terrible failure,” Priebus said Wednesday night on Fox News’ “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.”

The RNC chairman was willing, however, to give Obama his due on coordinating the final efforts that led to the killing of Osama bin Laden.

“We give the president a lot of credit in his role in the death of bin Laden — obviously, the SEALs and our servicemen around the country,” Priebus told Van Susteren. “I mean, I don't think you take that away, nor would you even attempt to.”

But Priebus said his job as head of the Republican Party is to “put lead on the target” in this year’s presidential race between Obama and presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney.

To that purpose, Romney and Priebus met Wednesday at RNC headquarters in Washington, where the former Massachusetts governor took time to thank the RNC staff for their efforts during the primary season.

Priebus said Romney’s visit was the “kickoff” to a coordinated effort between his campaign and the RNC to push Obama out of office.
