While the President spends money on an unproven global warming scare and
much of Congress twiddle's its thumbs on meaningless activity, this
real and proven danger goes unheeded. Advise your elected
representatives that you want something done sooner than later. http://www.wnd.com/2014/05/expert-to-congress-emp-clear-and-present-danger/
I learned of this potentiality some 20 plus years ago and while it is a
known threat to our national infrastructure and more, nothing
significant has been done. Check it out for yourselves if you have not
already. This is a problem worth attending to. George Burns
It's becoming increasingly difficult to discern fact from fiction, and unfortunately the media has a strong bias. They spin stories to make conservatives look bad and will go to great lengths to avoid reporting on the good that comes from conservative policies. There are a few shining lights in the media landscape-brave conservative outlets that report the truth and offer a different perspective. We must support conservative outlets like this one and ensure that our voices are heard.
Elections have consequences, so it is important that voters who want to save our democracy, should v

Look Out - The EPA Is Headed Our Way
The EPA is prepared to issue new rules we will all have to obey no
matter whether they are good or not. We do know however that the harm
to the economy will be immense. But, the government knows best. They
have made the decision that the science is settled (even though it most
certainly is not) that if we do not curb human Co2 production
catastrophe looms. Our role is to do what they, as our bureaucratic
superiors, say no matter the cost or potential harm their decisions
cause. Quote: The stated reason for these rules is to save the
earth...but in truth the real "...
reason is that this is not about saving the earth. It is about control.
Even if you accept the theory of global warming, there is no way you
can prove that the measures being ordered by the EPA would reduce the
amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by one, single molecule.
That's because countries like China, who are building a coal burning
electric plant every month - are not subject to any mandated reduction
in CO2 emissions. Ditto for India. For every molecule of carbon dioxide
we don't put into the atmosphere, someone else will do it for us. In short, the rationale for burdening Americans with these new regs is non existent." http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2014/05/epa_readies_rules_on_co2.html George Burns
Racial Problems
Black violence against whites
continues. Leadership in Washington DC is silent as are all the so
called black community leadership. Why? Here is a recent example. http://www.wnd.com/2014/05/white-family-stalked-pummeled-by-black-mob/
This woman sees right through
the superficiality of collective black support of Obama simply because
he is black, ignoring his absence of moral character and numerous policy
failures. http://www.americanthinker.com/2014/05/black_americans_and_the_obama_dilemma_.html
This is violence spawned by
progressive dogma that whites are responsible for repressed blacks and
taking out their hatred against innocent whites is okay. Black and
white liberals/progressives can say that is not true but their actions
or rather inaction and avoiding the subject tells the tale. http://www.wnd.com/2014/05/house-torched-in-black-on-white-revenge-attack/
This thinking is idiotic. Check it out. In Africa today blacks
enslave blacks. Today in America blacks can achieve whatever their
time, effort, abilities, opportunity and dedication allow. But what
they achieve is up to them. No one is standing in their way. We have a
black president for heaven's sake! Stop stoking the racist theme and
let all people of all colors seek their calling.
Why is it that Democrats can say
racist things and nobody cares but if a conservative says anything that
could be interpreted as racists all h**l breaks loose, especially
by the media? And, traditional professional race baiters. See this
item. http://eaglerising.com/6168/examples-democrat-racism-medias-silence/
This sheds light on the
misconceptions of racial bias. As a black economist says "The takeaway
from the Sterling affair is that we should mount not a moral crusade but
an economic liberty crusade. In other words, eliminate union
restrictions, wage controls, occupational and business licensure, and
other anti-free market restrictions. Make opportunity depend on one’s
productivity." http://www.humanevents.com/2014/05/14/a-lesson-on-racial-discrimination/ Same theme but another take. http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2014/05/liberalism-and-the-nba-locker-room.php
Now tell me why this school would deem this first grade school talent show to be racist. This progressive racist PC special selected group privilege stuff is way, way out of hand. According to them people are no longer allowed to just be people. People come in all colors, shapes, sizes, etc.. Why can't we just leave it at that? http://www.westernjournalism.com/first-graders-told-talent-show-performance-racist/

The “Heat and Eat” Food Stamp Loophole and the Outdated Cost Projections for Farm Programs
In February, Congress passed a new farm bill that lacked meaningful
and necessary reform. Making matters worse, Congress made critical
mistakes that will have a major impact on both food stamps and farm
programs. The most significant attempt at food stamp reform was to close
the “heat and eat” loophole, which allows states to artificially boost
the amount of food stamps that households receive. It is becoming clear,
however, that the bill failed to achieve even this miniscule objective.
Two major new commodity programs were created in the farm bill. The projected cost of these programs is likely to be far greater than projected by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). By not using updated commodity price data, Congress failed to use the best projections to assess the financial impact of these costly new programs.
However, there are simple and straightforward ways to fix these mistakes that do not require major substantive policy changes.

Tax Day 2014: How Tax Reform Would Make Filing Taxes Better
April 15, the day Americans’ tax returns for the previous year are
due to the IRS, is fast approaching. Families all over the country are
scrambling to find documentation for their incomes and any expenses they
incurred that might be deductible, creditable, or exemptible. It is a
day of consternation for most families because of the mind-numbing
complexity of completing this annual task.
The best that can be said of Tax Day is that it provides a yearly reminder of just how convoluted the tax code is and how much damage it does to the economy. It should also serve as a periodic reminder that filing taxes does not have to be this way. Tax reform, if done right, would help Americans in numerous ways.

Raise Incomes
The biggest difference taxpayers would notice would be increased annual incomes. Families would see their incomes grow because tax reform would lessen the severe disincentives that the tax code currently imposes on the fundamental activities of economic growth—working, saving, investing, and taking on risk. This would allow the economy to grow stronger, which would mean more opportunities for Americans at all income levels to find higher-paying jobs and earn larger wage increases.http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2014/04/tax-day-2014-how-tax-reform-would-make-filing-taxes-better?utm_source=heritagefoundation&utm_medium=homepage&utm_content=140409_2&utm_campaign=headline
Dreams of a Central Planner
The Federal Reserve has arrived at last. Exhibit A: The tremendous
number of people interested in who would be confirmed as the new Fed
Chairman last January.
For monetary geeks like me, it’s an exciting development. It gives me a chance to talk about topics I’ve been interested in for decades, but now with more than two people.
I sincerely hope to use this column to broaden the conversation surrounding the Federal Reserve. Over time, I’ll talk about the usual topics – quantitative easing, tapering, interest rates, etc. But there’s so much more to monetary policy than these narrow issues. What about the very purpose of the Fed itself?
Most students are taught that the Federal government stepped in to calm the monetary chaos in the US. Supposedly, the fact that people used many different types of money made everyday life unbearable, and the establishment of the Federal Reserve finally solved that problem.

Obama’s Smoking Gun
The president lies. So insisted the Reverend Jeremiah Wright in a
taped interview with author Ed Klein for Klein’s book on Obama titled The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House. As
the latest revelation of a White House e-mail surfaces — which some are
calling a smoking gun from the Benghazi scandal — the picture of a
White House that flatly lies no matter the subject continues to sink Mr.
Obama in the polls.
It is worth going back to the Reverend Wright to have a better understanding of what’s going on here. Klein was granted an interview with Obama’s longtime mentor, and as part of that interview Wright tells the story of the blow-up that occurred when videotaped sermons from Obama’s Trinity United Church of Christ finally exploded into conservative media view. Obama, now in mid-campaign, took a secret break to confront the reverend in Wright’s Chicago living room. The conversation did not go well, with Obama asking Wright in essence to disappear from public view. Wright says this of the moment when Wright refused the suggestion:

I said, "That’s a good problem to have. That’s a good problem for all preachers to have. That’s why I could never be a politician."http://spectator.org/articles/59020/obamas-smoking-gun
