Furious Biden wanted to FIRE Merrick Garland over Hunter's court cases, Bob Woodward's new book reveals

Joe Biden regrets picking Attorney General Merrick Garland to lead his Justice Department after the agency prosecuted his son Hunter.

'Should never have picked Garland,' Biden told an associate, Woodward writes.

Publicly, Biden has remained hands off with his son's tax and gun legal troubles, but in private his anger towards his Attorney General has simmered, according to excerpts of journalist Bob Woodward's new book obtained by CNN.

In June, Hunter was convicted in Delaware federal court of three felony charges related to the purchase of a revolver firearm in 2018.

Hunter then pleaded guilty in federal court in Los Angeles, California, in September to a nine-count indictment that included three felony tax offenses and six misdemeanor tax offenses.

Despite the crimes committed by his last living son, President Biden still remains furious at AG Garland for agreeing to bring the charges against him.

Ultimately, Biden dropped out of the 2024 reelection race against Trump on July 21, 2024 and endorsed his Vice President Kamala Harris to take his place leading the Democratic ticket.
