In a shocking development out of Greenville, South Carolina, FEMA helicopters have reportedly blocked the airport runway, preventing private citizens from delivering much-needed aid to desperate local victims.
But today, FEMA flew in 10 helicopters and blocked the runway here at Greenville Downtown.
According to eyewitness accounts and video footage, private planes carrying supplies for disaster-stricken areas were grounded as FEMA officials took over the airport operations.
For now, aid efforts hang in the balance as FEMA blocks the runway, leaving many wondering when relief will finally reach those who need it most.
They’ve taken over, and it’s outrageous.” Video footage from the airport shows several FEMA helicopters parked on the runway, with no sign of movement or efforts to assist in transporting relief.
Meanwhile, thousands of pounds of supplies are sitting untouched,” said another frustrated volunteer who had been working to organize private aid efforts.
“This is about saving lives, not bureaucracy.” Many are now questioning why FEMA would step in and disrupt private citizens’ efforts, especially when the need for supplies is so urgent.
