On Tuesday, two House Democrats from California sent a letter to 12 cable companies, suggesting conservative media outlets played "a major role in the spread of dangerous misinformation that enabled the insurrection of Jan. 6 and hinders our public health response to the current pandemic." The Federal Communications Commission commissioner calls this an attempt to stifle free speech.
