Well, lets see now what is the purpose of women's lib curriculum as an vital educational objective?  What is that objective?  Who benefits and who does not? A good question to ask is why the curriculum at all if it promotes total nonsense like that in this item? It was doubtful they would, given their long history of only sponsoring unequivocally pro-abortion events." And,  "The conservative alumna and the conservative student made a direct request for funding of the debate and were told by the feminist administrator that abortion is a “women’s issue” and that the debate could not be funded because the debate participants were “both male.” When I found out about this, I was incensed. I was one of the proposed debate participants. The other was abortionist Dr. Willie Parker. They were hesitant to fire a feminist administrator for advancing rather than fighting gender discrimination. But reality caught up with UNCW. In the midst of the investigation, which stretched on for over two hundred days, the director of the WSRC announced her resignation. UNCW feared their WSRC director was a legal liability – not because she was a sexist but because she was not shrewd enough to hide it. So the university ultimately conceded wrongdoing, right? Wrong."  And,  "This is all simple logic. The preponderance standard could only not be met if one concludes that two conservative women combined are less than one feminist. Some left wing progressive Democrats have toyed with the idea of providing a Universal Basic Income as a means to creating a basic income for all people regardless of whether they work or not.  This item reports on an extensive study to determine if on the merits it is a good idea. The concept involves providing regular, unconditional cash payments to everyone, regardless of need or status. There is no evidence that UBI will help to increase the bargaining power of workers and trade unions or solve problems of low pay and precarious work…Rapidly changing labour markets, inadequate welfare systems, poverty, inequality and powerlessness are complex problems that call for complex changes on many levels: there is no ‘silver bullet’ of the kind that UBI is often claimed to be…The campaign for UBI threatens to divert political energies – as well as funds – from more important causes…the money needed to pay for an adequate UBI scheme would be better spent on reforming social protection systems, and building more and better quality public services.”    Bottom Line:  It is a really bad idea.
