Police in California are growing increasingly angry and frustrated over the state's "Sanctuary" law after several criminal incidents committed by illegal aliens, but the supermajority of Democrats who passed it seem oblivious to the death and destruction.
Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux said he personally was "Very frustrated" with the law following a day-long "Reign of terror" that ended with the death of Gustavo Garcia, 36, an illegal immigrant who had twice been deported from the U.S., Fox News reported, citing local California media.
"We are very frustrated with the fact that the way the laws are set up currently that law enforcement hands are tied," Boudreaux said Wednesday.
Now local police agencies need a signed order from a federal judge to turn illegals over to ICE, which had placed a detainer on Garcia.
"That's how we did it in the past and that's how we had always done it. And now, that tool has been taken from law enforcement," Boudreaux continued.
"This deadly rampage could have been prevented if ICE had been notified of his release. This is an unfortunate and extremely tragic example of how public safety is impacted with laws or policies limiting local law enforcement agencies' ability to cooperate with ICE.".
Since Democrats need a permanent underclass they can use to stay in power, they remain unconcerned about public safety and the rule of law.
