AT&T Destroys Dems’ Claim With Big Promise To Workers After Tax Bill Passes

AT&T, a telecom giant that employs nearly 300,000 people, made a major announcement Wednesday following the passage of GOP tax reform.
The company pledged to give over 200,000 U.S. workers a $1,000 bonus after President Donald Trump makes the tax legislation the law of the land.
AT&T leadership has hailed the Republican tax bill, long arguing that slashing corporate tax rates would lead to more benefits for its employees.
“Congress, working closely with the President, took a monumental step to bring taxes paid by U.S. businesses in line with the rest of the industrialized world,” AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson said in a statement.
“This tax reform will drive economic growth and create good-paying jobs. In fact, we will increase our U.S. investment and pay a special bonus to our U.S. employees.”
