Wonder why Obama does not ever address this gun problem?  Chicago has among the strictest gun control laws in the country.  Yet as this item notes "As reported by The Daily Caller, someone has been shot in the Windy City every 2.84 hours — based on a total of 2,349 shootings — from January 1 to October 6, 2015, according to crime statistics maintained by the Chicago Tribune.  At the current rate, the number of shooting deaths in Chicago is expected to surpass the (high) 2014 total of 2,587 victims (where someone was shot every 3.38 hours). For comparison, there have only been 2,370 deaths of American military personnel in Afghanistan since the war there began in October 2001 (still too many, but you get the idea), according to a casualty-tracking website."   And,  "And yet, Chicago remains to be one of the most heavily regulated cities when it comes to gun control. Concealed carry permits are almost nonexistent, as The DC noted.
