Science & Things

Climate change science is seemingly getting weaker by the day.  This is an instructive look at the subject with a list of additional items that might be of interest to those with open minds regarding something that is politically charged but should not be.  http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2014/11/the_science_is_settled.html

Climate alarmist seek to attribute anything they can to global warming.  Evidence exists that more often than not when examined, their claims fall flat.  Here is but one example.   http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2014/11/climate_alarmism_and_the_snowshoe_hare_in_michigan.html

This follows-up the above item.  Why do these people keep making claims that facts easily disproved?   http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2014/12/reality_check_on_nebraskas_climate.html  Here is another example: http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2014/12/closer_look_michigan.html

An assessment of the Obama - China agreement on CO2 emissions.  Turns out to be a hyped up pig in a poke. And bad for us while being good for China. http://humanevents.com/2014/12/01/the-climate-pact-swindle/?   Here is a scientist's view.   http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2014/12/the_china_climate_accord_a_bad_deal_for_the_us.html

The UN sponsored climate meeting in Peru is all about taking money from wealthy nations and giving it without any binding controls to poor nations.   The science that the IPPC and other advocates demand be followed is unproven at best and an outright fabrication at worse.  To sign on to anything that further punishes the economy of our nation along with other western nations is not only a crime against the citizenry forced to fund the efforts but would most probably make no measurable difference anyway.   http://iceagenow.info/2014/12/worlds-climate-change-mafia-meet-peru/

Note this open letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations written by 100 prominent scientists on 13 December 2007.  Tell me what, if anything, has changed since it was written that warrants all the hype.  http://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/reprint/open_letter_to_un.html?   It seems to me that the advocates of climate change need to consider the contents of this report.   Maybe they will read it at the Peru conference.  Nah, not a chance.  They have an agenda to push.   http://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/originals/the_global_medieval_warm_period.html

The long history of junk science perpetrated by leftist congressional leaders in cahoots with their leftist academic counterparts has not only wasted our taxes but also helped the left to control scientific research for political or nonsensical purposes.  This wasteful use of taxpayer money for useless scientific pursuits may be drawing to a close.  Let's hope so. http://www.redstate.com/2014/11/29/democrat-academia-alliance-digs/
