I found this article about the ongoing illegal immigration
debate most interesting. The proposals the author makes near the end
of his piece make good sense to me. But as he notes they will not make
it past the political process because they will be unpopular with many,
maybe even most of the illegals already here and those planning to
come. Politicians are looking for votes. As usual most have taken the
pulse offered them by pollsters and not the implications for tax
payers/citizens...covering the cost of immigrant access to the public
largess, potential job losses for current citizens and criminal activity
posed by some illegals. George Burns
It's becoming increasingly difficult to discern fact from fiction, and unfortunately the media has a strong bias. They spin stories to make conservatives look bad and will go to great lengths to avoid reporting on the good that comes from conservative policies. There are a few shining lights in the media landscape-brave conservative outlets that report the truth and offer a different perspective. We must support conservative outlets like this one and ensure that our voices are heard.
