Doings In Big Government Land

In a recent note I mentioned that 10 of the wealthiest counties in the country surround Washington D.C..  We pondered at the time where all that money comes from.  Here is an article that to some degree puts that number in context.  Bottom line.  Things in Big Government land are going quite well thank you, sequester and all.  The rest of the country not so but then our leaders and and their support staffs need to be taken care of.  And, don't forget the thousands of special interests lobbyiest, too. Our tax money is doing good things for some.  Check here:   http://finance.townhall.com/columnists/johnransom/2013/04/12/what-sequester-unemployment-claims-for-federal-workers-drop-as-dc-housing-values-reach-highest-point-in-history-n1564952/page/full/

By the way, despite the sequester, the President was able to scrape up enough of our tax money that must have been just laying around to host another bash at the White House this week.  Got to keep those elites surrounding Washington entertained, you know.  The rest of us get to watch some of it on TV.  Great isn't it?  http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/another-exclusive-party-wh-taxpayer-expense_716159.html
