Read the first linked article and then explain to me why our government is on a path to granting more than 11 million illegal immigrants
resident status and a pathway to citizenship. How can this be when,
according to this link, at least 101 million Americans are out of work?
I have seen this number elsewhere and was dubious until I understood
how the numbers were derived and that the source is the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
How come, then, do we get fed misleading statistics every month? Here
is a lift from the article: "According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor
Statistics, there are 11,742,000 working age Americans that are officially unemployed. In addition, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says that there are 89,967,000
working age Americans that are 'not in the labor force'. That is a new
all-time record, and that number increased by a whopping 663,000
during the month of March alone." A huge number of those 89,967,000
have given up looking for work and now live on various forms of
government compensation. So, logic says that a goodly number of the 11
million illegal immigrants will push to well over 90 million the number
of dependents on various government assistance programs.
Growing the number of people relying on government assistance programs
cannot continue. A shrinking tax base cannot sustain this expense nor
can the government continue to borrow to pay these dependency bills
along with all the multitude of other things on which it spends our
money. The article next under lays bare the current state of our
economy and it is not at all what the government is telling us. And the
government is about to make it a lot worse by legitimizing over 11
million more people vying for an ever shrinking number of jobs. The
second link addresses the unfortunate consequences of long term
unemployment. George Burns
It's becoming increasingly difficult to discern fact from fiction, and unfortunately the media has a strong bias. They spin stories to make conservatives look bad and will go to great lengths to avoid reporting on the good that comes from conservative policies. There are a few shining lights in the media landscape-brave conservative outlets that report the truth and offer a different perspective. We must support conservative outlets like this one and ensure that our voices are heard.
