Some Democrats running away from Biden border policies

Within a few months of the November election, some Democrats are distancing themselves from President Joe Biden's border policies even as he is expected to advance an executive action next month on the border.

The bill wouldn't cap illegal border entries to 5,000 a day; would codify and expand the Biden administration policies over which at least 25 state attorneys general have sued; amend federal law to expand illegal entry, which incentivizes "Fraud families," human smuggling and other crimes, officials have explained.

With more than 11 million border crossers and escalating crime associated with them rising since January 2021, the border crisis remains one of the top issues for voters ahead of the November election.

Still, the president is preparing to issue executive action on the border, which he could sign as early as next month, Politico reported.

"President Biden inherited the most secure border with the lowest illegal immigration since last century," he maintains.

"With the stroke of a pen, he proudly ended those secure border policies and opened the border to more than 11 million illegal immigrants from more than 150 different countries - including known terrorists, murderers, and rapists." Instead of securing the border, he is also trying to stop Texas from securing it, Abbott says.

"Texas is building a border wall, installing hundreds of miles of razor wire and buoy barriers, and deploying thousands of Texas National Guard soldiers and Department of Public Safety troopers. Operation Lone Star is working, and President Biden would do well to follow our lead, or get out of the way."

EV Company Fisker Lays Off Hundreds In Desperate Bid To Stay Afloat

Electric vehicle startup Fisker has recently laid off hundreds of employees as it grapples with financial challenges and seeks potential funding, a buyout, or prepares for bankruptcy.

TechCrunch reports that in a desperate attempt to stay afloat, struggling EV startup Fisker has resorted to mass layoffs, cutting hundreds of jobs in a bid to survive its current financial crisis.

Suspicions of impending layoffs arose when Fisker instructed all employees to work from home on Wednesday, a move that deviated from the company's usual practices.

According to employees who attended the meeting, founder and CEO Henrik Fisker revealed that the large investor to whom the company owes money, along with the chief restructuring officer working on the investor's behalf, pushed for more job cuts.

Although Fisker has not publicly disclosed the identity of the investor, Henrik Fisker mentioned Heights Capital Management, an affiliate of Susquehanna International Group, during the meeting.

Vice President Joe Biden speaks about the announcement that Fisker Automotive will produce plug-in hybrid electric vehicles at the former General Motors Boxwood Plant, Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, in Wilmington, Del. Estimates from current and laid-off employees suggest that only about 150 people remain at the company following the recent layoffs.

Fisker also suggested that laid-off workers might be re-hired once the company regains its footing.

Democrats Introduce Legislation To ‘Terminate Secret Service Protection’ For ‘Convicted Felons’

Democrats have introduced legislation to terminate Secret Service protection for "Convicted felons" in cases including "a former president" as the plan to destroy Trump through lawfare enters the next phase.

The result of Trump's political show trial in New York could have further ramifications for the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.

Nearly 40 nations - including Canada and the UK - have strict policies when it comes to allowing individuals with criminal records across their borders, and barring a special accommodation, Trump would be held to those same standards.

Here are just five of the 37 nations expected to ban Trump from entry, via the Independent: Israel Despite Trump once retweeting someone who referred to him as the "King of Israel" and bragging that he moved the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, Trump may not be able to visit the nation now that he's a felon.

Canada According to the Canadian government's tourist hub, any "US Citizen or permanent resident that has a felony conviction on their criminal record may be deemed inadmissible to Canada for the purposes of immigrating, or even if they're merely coming to Canada to visit.

" Canada even retains the right to bar individuals "arrested or accused of a felony crime even though you have not been convicted," meaning Trump would have faced issues visiting the US's northern neighbor the moment he faced charges.

" Japan Japan is fairly strict with its immigration and visitation rules, including laws preventing convicted criminals from entry.

Under Japanese law anyone convicted of a violation of "any law of regulation" of any country and has been sentenced to "imprisonment with or without work for 1 year or more, or to an equivalent penalty" can be barred from entry.

UK Under UK law, a felon can visit Ireland and Scotland with some restrictions and requirements in place.

Britain can bar access to convicted felons.

Unless an "Immigration Officer is satisfied that admission would be justified for strong compassionate reasons," they can refuse access to any convicted, so long as the crime they committed would also be punishable by imprisonment in the UK.

DOJ Claims It Can’t Release Biden Tapes Because They’ll Be Faked

When Robert Hur released his report which claimed that Biden was so badly out of it that he didn't remember which dates he was in office and the year his son died, it was politically damaging.

Republicans have wanted the original tapes and the Biden administration has fought to block them.

The DOJ has taken to claiming that if the tapes are released, they'll be used to train AIs to produce deepfakes of Biden's voice.

Who can tell the difference anymore? "To be sure, other raw material to create a deepfake of President Biden's voice is already available, but release of the audio recording presents unique risks: if it were public knowledge that the audio recording has been released, it becomes easier for malicious actors to pass off an altered file as the true recording," it argues.

An authentic recording would disprove the fake ones while the lack of a real recording makes it all too easy to pass off fakes.

The Biden administration can't even keep track of its arguments anymore.

The best way to counter fake records is with real records, but the Biden administration doesn't want the real ones out there.

Thailand Announces Intention To Join BRICS, Accelerating Dollar's Demise

Thailand announces intention to join BRICS, accelerating dollar's demise.

Thailand has announced its intention to become a member of the BRICS economic bloc in a move that could accelerate the demise of the U.S. dollar.

If it is approved, Thailand would be the first Southeast Asian member of BRICS. Thailand is just one of several non-member countries that has been invited to participate in a BRICS summit in October with a view to eventually joining the coalition.

The addition of Thailand would bolster the growing financial power of BRICS and its desire to move away from the dollar.

With their own common currency, BRICS countries would be able to carry out trade without using American dollars, reducing the supply and demand of the dollar and possibly weakening its value.

Many countries keep dollar reserves to provide economic stability; they could seek to diversify their reserves in the presence of an alternative BRICS currency, which would further weaken the dollar's dominance and influence on the global stage.

At the same time, a common currency could enable BRICS nations to bolster their own local currencies, challenging the dollar in foreign exchange markets.

The Trends Of The Trade

Many trade schools have seen as much as a 19.3 percent rise in enrollment over the last several years.

In my working-class neighborhood, a college education was viewed as a way out of poverty.

The trend toward a four-year college degree is decreasing as students and parents have begun to view a degree with less enthusiasm.

The average salary post-graduation from college is between $30,000-$50,000 depending on the state.

I am hearing of more and more young, homeschooled teen boys pursuing a trade profession.

While many public schools continue to push students toward a college degree as the only means of success in life, homeschoolers feel freed up to think outside the box and pursue what interests them and better suits their gifts.

Finding the right career, be it one that requires a college degree or follows the trend of pursuing a trade, can be a tough decision.

Steve Bannon Suggests Jim Jordan And James Comer Are Bought

Conservative media personality Steve Bannon suggested on Friday on his War Room program that some House Republican lawmakers are bought by big donors.

Bannon, who served as the White House chief strategist under the Trump administration, told his listeners on Friday that there needs to be investigations into the criminal proceedings of former President Donald Trump, who has been indicted four times on the state and federal level.

The conservative talk show host called out House Judiciary Committee chair Jim Jordan of Ohio, House Oversight Committee chair James Comer of Kentucky and House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana for not doing enough to help the MAGA cause.

Exclusively Available to Subscribers Try it now for $1. Bannon told Newsweek via text message on Saturday: "The House Judiciary Committee should issue subpoenas for documents, staff depositions, and public hearings to the government officials and private actors who are conspiring to violate the civil rights of President Trump, his aides, and his allies by waging this unprecedented, Republic-ending lawfare and election interference."

Jordan's office told Newsweek via email on Saturday that "No one supports President Trump more than Jim Jordan."

Earlier in the episode, Bannon talked about laying out a "Battle plan" for a "Blow out win" in November after Trump was found guilty on Thursday by a New York jury in his Manhattan criminal case, which is the first of his four criminal cases to go to trial.

In a case brought forward by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Trump was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records relating to a hush money payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels shortly before the 2016 presidential election by Trump's then-lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen.
